Calex find Pitch very interesting, and actually appreciates his bluntness in regards to his feelings about the Deva. He also sincerely feels bad that the guy has such a negative idea of them, especially since he really wants to figure out how he can be more helpful as a Deva. He's lost his world and he doesn't want to see something like that happen to anyone's. And then in general, maybe there is something about him being drawn to those that might at first find him as a nuisance. ...might also be because Pitch is wearing black.
