What...the heck..is this place?

[So this definitely wasn't New York. And Tomes definitely wasn't anywhere in sight--which wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

But Gwen had no idea where she was. It crossed her mind that maybe this was another Spider-meetup thing, which wouldn't be so bad because hey she'd get to see Peter again, but she hadn't found anyone familiar. No other spiders whatsoever.

Which made it all the more weird.

Perched on top of a building, Gwen frowned behind her mask, chin propped in her hand as she glanced around, headphones not in for once because being in a new place? She needed to hear; spider-senses or not.]

This is not going to be fun is it?

[ And, invited or not, this old man simply squats down next to her. Where he has suddenly come from? No one knows. It's just a thing he does.

At first, he doesn't seem to be paying attention to her, despite his initial response, but soon enough his glance shifts over to Gwen and he gives a lazy smile. ]

Hope this spot wasn't taken. This ol' man can only stand on his feet for so long, ya know?

[Her head starting buzzing a moment before the other spoke but it was nowhere near enough heads up to keep her from startling. The teen jerked and flailed slightly, managing to keep herself steady as her eyes widened behind her mask.]

Who--you--where--where did you come from!?

[ He at least seems surprised as he returns her look. Though it is obviously fake and only lasts for a moment. Giving a harmless smirk, he turns his attention back ahead. ]

Ya don' need to worry about ol' Raven here. I jus' happened to be wanderin' by an' thought I'd be paying this lovely masked lady some company. It'd be rude to jus' walk past!

[ Because it's perfectly natural to be wandering around on rooftops. ]

Gotta admit, though. This place sure is somethin' else.
