bigbadrose: (I'm not so sure about that)

"But you're not a Time Lord," Rose echoed, trying to digest it all. River did seem really earnest about trying to protect the Doctor, and she couldn't quite imagine the Master being so playful about denying being a Time Lord, given how much pride the Doctor took in it, she could only imagine that the rest were far worse.

She closed her eyes, hoping beyond hope again, that she wasn't making a big mistake in trusting this woman with even this much little information. "He is here," she puckered a cheek. "He says he's from my time, the 2012 London Olympics, yeah?" she wondered idly if River was a future version of herself, but quickly dismissed it. Even assuming Rose did grow up to stay that attractive, she doubted she could ever pull of the mysteriousness, even with herself, even knowing timelines were crazy, and she could just maybe remember it, and yet... No. After the fiasco with meeting herself as a baby and nearly causing the paradox to crash all of time and space, there was no way an older version of herself would want to talk long. "But I'm not sure he's being honest about that. I've always gotten into trouble before, but now he's like, ten seconds from thinking I'll get lost for good. And he was here a month before me, but I'm not sure even being stuck here without his TARDIS or anything familiar is enough for that." She wasn't sure it wasn't either, but such was the tricky nature of the Doctor.
