He shook his head. "If it weren't for the fact that the first person who did this to me was dead, I'd suspect this was another practical joke by old Garkin."

He huffed out a sigh and his scales settled a bit.

"Look, if it ain't your fault, I'm not going to eat you, okay? We just need to bite the bullet, and play the cards we're dealt. And hey, at least you aren't screaming at the sight of me, so already a more promising start than the last time."

"That's good, should help you out here." It isn't quite so simple for him, not that he hasn't had to settle places before, but there's always a low level feeling that he should be doing something, even in the times he'd forgotten who he was. A need to try and help wherever he was, to try and change whatever seemed wrong in the world he found himself in.

And always to keep moving.

It's no different here, even if he seems to have settled to others, and it's part of why he swings into these bouts of near manic energy at times, walking backwards in front of Jack and then bounce along sideways next to him, moving quickly to keep up with the other's longer strides.

"Actually once you get a hold of bending you mightn't find it too bad at all. Bending! Yes you should know about that, has anyone told you yet? It's really terribly useful though difficult to get used to at times, always forget I'm able to just make things at times or prefer making them from scratch myself as it were..."

Nita's magic - wizardry, rather - wasn't essential to her functioning, but it was an important part of her, and she could relate to Lioriley's panic.

She'd seen her own share of aliens, so the look of the Lunari didn't give the wizard much pause. Nita's expression was full of concern, and open honesty.

"I'm Nita," she said, and went on, "and what's wrong? If I can, I'll try and help."

That was her life as a wizard, after all; aiding Life in all its forms.

That moment when you're not sure what fusing with a tiny cat god regularly might have done to your DNA especially when you figure out you can purr with a throat not made for it.

"Oooh, lucky. There's a few people here who've done that and the trips sound simply meowrvelous. All those new places and cultures and the cosmic sights you no longer need a telescope to see," he said with a wistful sigh. It would be an adventure.

"It's always good to have on hand, especially when you've first arrived," Chat said, stepping back and leading him on the path again. "But we've covered the dimensional thing, the other two important points are Reality Storms and Bending. Bending is going to be the replacement for any peculiar talents you have and for brand new ones! It's the literal meaning of mind over matter. If you can will it, and have the power and practice, you can make anything happen."

"Whoa, calm down there, girlie," Shadow said, holding up his hands in a placating manner. "No one here is gonna hurt ya."

He looked her over briefly even as he spoke. He's supposed to help newbies, he knows that, but that didn't mean newbies could be trouble. Especially ones who were panicking. "I get it's disorientatin' and all that, but I assure ya, you're perfectly safe."

(Canon point: last in Season 3 when she was stabbed by Ra's Al Ghul but before the whole pit mess. So in other words bye bye bloodlust since that whole arc made me crazy!)

[See pretty girl currently covered in blood with archery gear? Her eyes are scanning the streets and ducking into alleys when she can to avoid questions. But Thea Queen was also hitting redial on her phone as she moved, arriving just as she was stabbed by one Ra's Al Ghul. As she makes another attempt to reach her brother and friends she slumps against a wall outside like she thinks is a mini mart.

[Odd how many of those could be used for puns about peace if he had chosen that route. Ah well, that was a fish to fry another day.]

Kaylin, in her full beat uniform approached her, hands resting lightly on the pommels of her visible daggers. "Excuse me, Ma'am, Kaylin Neya, Hawks and Task Force. I'm going to need to ask you a few questions," she said, ready for the woman to run, ready to chase her if need be. But as there hadn't been a rain of blood here recently, someone that soaked with blood, and armed, was of interest to the police force in this place.

For someone who is a bit more domestic - going to the market place certainly hasn't been boring. Case in point with having found himselves there and today; looks like someone who is injured is unofficially on the grocery list.

Ten stands not too far away but also doesn't trap her in the corner.

"Hallo. I'm the Doctor. Now it will be alright. I can help you to a hospital but only if you let me help you."

His voice is calm and reassuring but also firm.

Of course, he's wondering how she's in such a mess but that will be later.

The tiny brunette looked more ready to pass out and it showed,"Long story short." she almost hissed. "You're not the one who just got stabbed before finding yourself in what is not Starling City.". Thea did not mean to be curt but well she's basically spooked since this was not Starling City or even her and her brother's loft.

[Cue super confused Thea.]

"Hospital? I just remember coming to covered in blood but not bleeding?" came the female voice. Because that was what basically had happened post Ra's Al Ghul's sword and crashing through a glass coffee table (since some of the shards were still in Thea's hair.]

There was a moment of silence, before Kaylin started swearing. "The blood is yours then?" she asked, looking for the wound as she started tapping the gems on an expensive looking bracer she wore. She pulled the bracer off when it clicked open - despite having no visible hinges. She shoved it into her pouch at her hip.

She didn't care what that idiot with the curly hair said about her powers. Someone needed healing, and the first lesson of healing was where there was blood there was hope, there was still a chance. And if this stupid bending was all about will power, they'd see just how much will Kaylin Neya had, faced with someone she could save.

"Sounds like you're very friendly," [he said with a grin.]

Meanwhile, Ten just finished up his Angelii training for the day - as he's trying to learn two moves within a month. Pushing himself maybe a bit more than he should - but he's an Angelii and the Angelii and Ashura will be called upon first with Endos and the labyrinth roaming.

At the moment, The Doctor is dragging his feet and one might think he's drunk, but in a calm voice states replies; "It's alright. I don't mean you harm either." There's a big smile, "Welcome to Nautilus. And I'm the Tenth Doctor."

[Someone saw archery girl and wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Kirika saw the blood, probably archery girl's, stared and unsure what to do. Kirika hesitated, she remained still to see what this girl will do? Would she attack the young assassin? Was she an enemy or one of those heroes?

After a quick debate, Kirika decided to approach her anyway, as she remained on guard.]

Are you okay? Hey?

[If anything, at least Kirika had medical experience.]

Ten walks slowly closer, "Are you sure?" And touches gently where she's covered in blood, minus any places like her breasts and seems satisfied about the results. Then backing away, "You have pieces of glass still in your hair."

A pause, "Welcome to Nautilus. I'm the Doctor. Tenth Doctor. Let's get you some new clothes."

He is not going to freak out. Definitely not going to. After all, all he's got to do is to find a warp pad and get home right? Right! This is an adventure! And he is all for adventure! Especially when it didn't involve anyone chasing him or trying to kill him. That was always nice. So far, though, things looked pretty peaceful even if he didn't have any idea where he was.

"When in trouble, ask for help!" He reminds himself of this as he walks up to anyone who happens to be walking by and asks: "Excuse me! Where am I? Also have you seen anyone going by the names Garnet, Amethyst or Pearl around? Or Peridot or Lapis..." Because why not? "Or a pink lion..." Because was really going for broke here.

A little while later a thought occurs to him. Oh his gosh! How is he going to survive? Well, the only way he can think of. Thankfully he has his trusty ukelele.

"Song for some spare change? Or chaaaps? Or a hot pocket? It'll be great, I promise." And, grinning, he strums a cord.

Surprising no one, Connie had an armful of books today. In lieu of certain events, she was trying to up her chances for defending herself by looking up pressure points, and she has a few high fantasy books for some enjoyable reading. The weather was agreeable enough that Connie was floating several feet in the air, as it was just easier to move this way.

When she heard the busker, it made her think of Greg, and she thought to mention that to this stranger...who looks and sounded all too familiar.

Not that it would take Connie long to notice, enough that she literally fell out of the air, her eyes saucers.

"S-steven?!"

"Connie!" He's so happy to see her he tackles her in a hug before he even thinks things through. "Woah! What are you doing here? Where's here? Did you come through the warp pad too? Only I don't remember stepping into one... Oh my gosh this book looks amazing!" He picks it up and goggles at it.

"Are those ninja on the cover. Please tell me they're ninja." Okay well he should have priorities but there is a super cool book and Connie and no one actively trying to kill them so all in all it seems like the start of a pretty good day.

Did he think he was going to NOT get a hug? After he went up into SPACE and could have very well been gone for good?! She hugged him fiercely, and there were, coming unbidden, tears in her eyes.

"W-when did you get here? It's not a warp pad, no, you're in the Nautilus, it's a completely different place. I've been here two-well, a long time Steven. I already know the ins and outs of the place. And no, of course not Steven, ninjas are certainly ok but not my preferred genre-"

OK, NO. STOP. First thing was first, as Steven was pretty cheerful and not like he was last she saw him. Certainly he was happy to be home, but he had definitely changed.

"When you left, what was the last thing you remembered?"

"Aw that's alright. What's Nautilus?" And then he notices she's tearing up a little. "Hey, what's going on, are you okay, Connie? Did something happen?" He's thrown by the question a little and rubs the back of his head.

"Um... I was just checking out the cool new fortune telling thing at Fun Land and then...something happened. I must've passed out or hit my head or been kidnapped or something cuz I woke up by this big gate thing."

....Kid. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw him coming up to her as she walked past. And there was a change. She was at first the hard Hawk (cop) that the people of this place were coming to be used to... and then a moment of just.. blankness... and then it was like all her defenses fell. If it weren't for the fact that there had been no magic, she would seem to have almost transformed into a completely different person. Someone tht in this place, only Link had ever seen. The tension rained from her shoulders, the wariness left her eyes, her lips curled into a small soft smile. Everything about her demeanor and stance relaxed.

Child. Child who needed help, yes, but it was a help she could give. He wasn't hurt, or scared, he wasn't bleeding or dying. And he wasn't as she had been at about his age, stealing to survive. If anything, he looked quite well fed, though the clothing he wore didn't scream NOBLE at her, though usually she only saw wealthier children who didn't look half starved but still looked human.

Of course, most of her children were the Foundlings that Marrin took in - human orphans. The other kids she knew were the Tha'alani who tended towards slender racially, and the Leontines who tended towards lean hard muscle under their fur.

So... happy human child who needed help but wasn't hurt or starving. Had he been a bit smaller she would have dropped to one knee to be on eye level with him, but as it was, she wasn't all that much taller. She hit all her growth spurts during winter, after all, and by the time she had access to food, at about age 14, she had been done growing.

"Hello," she said warmly to him. "My name is Kaylin Neya, I'm a Hawk on my world, and that means it's my job to help people and enforce the laws. I do not know anyone named that way, and I have not seen a pink lion..." a child's toy, she presumed, "but I can bring you somewhere that has food, and help you figure out if any of your family is here."

She doubted they were... and... she still hadn't found the Foundling halls in this place, or the Midwives. Well, now she had an excuse to ask. As soon as she got him tucked into a meal, she'd ask to borrow a mirror and call in to the Task Force.

"You were gone." Connie was doing her best to stop her tears, but there was no stopping them now, not after going back home. "You had to go to Homeworld to deal with the d-diamonds, and I thought you might never come back! I'm so glad to see you!"

Oh, but it would be weird if he didn't know this. It would start to sound like she had second sight!

"That's weird, I mean, you're talking about that new/old machine that Mr. Smiley has, right? The one you said you had to sub for? But this whole place, its called the Nautilus. Think of it as a hub between the worlds."

"O-oh really?" He gives a wavery kind of laugh, trying to make her feel better even if he's kind of freaking out about this. Connie wouldn't make that kind of thing up, so that meant it must have happened. Did he hit his head harder than he thought? But he must have 'taken care' of ...of something somehow even if he doesn't remember any of it because he's here.

"Well, I'm back! Don't have to worry anymore!" That didn't sound as reassuring as he meant. "Yeah that one! I haven't really tried it yet. Ooh a world between hubs. Is that like a hubcap?" He really has no idea what she's talking about but there's a lot going on at once.
