He watched the process with interest, simply because it was so unusual, although her humming was not terribly musical. It would have been nice if it were, that was something he could have mentioned.

Next thing he knew she was swooning and he moved to catch her before she hit her head, only in the nick of time. It was lucky he was fairly quick. He eased her down gently so she didn't hurt herself.
