He'd fished once before, with his friends as support. He could do it again. "That means I have to bend a fishing rod, right?

He grinned. "No rod. We just need a stick and some string. I'll teach you the best way to catfish in this or anyworld. Just stick with me, I promise I'm not stringing you along." Innocent grin.

"Sticks are plentiful. String...I think I lack, and I'm not sure I trust my bending ability yet. But I will if I must."

And after testing several branches for sturdiness, then tying his strongest knot around the end, he had something that resembled a fishing rod.
"I guess I'll need a needle and bait?"

Then a grin. "I could walk, but I chose to ride....in steed. Hope that's okay...." Grin.

"It's fine. It's been a while since I've seen an ocean."
He stuck to the trail ahead, listening for the sound of waves and breathing in. The scent of salt in the air would lead him, and yes...there it was. The open space and light were very welcome.
"All right. What's the best fishing spot?"

Once they were far enough away he nodded. "Alright, now tie one end of the vine to the branch."
