He was used to hunting with a sight shield and an aural shield as well as his protective ones, air walking so as to not leave tracks, showing up only when it is time to make the kill. He was NOT pleased to be trapped in a strange place, full of odd smells, away from his cub, his mate, and the few humans he trusted. Even Ladvarian was nowhere to be seen, and usually the small dog was underfoot whenever he was needed.

For those who have used Bending to gain or regain the ability to speak psychically, or have always had it, there is an odd frustrated mental rustling, like someone or something on the other side of a hedge trying to make contact.
