Sometimes, waking up in a new place is the type of thing one doesn't notice right away. Sometimes, sleep takes a while to fade from the mind, and in that in-between time, nothing seems amiss. So it goes when Lars awakens. The pink teen pushes himself up to a seated position and pulls his rather dramatic cape around himself. With a yawn, he uses the fabric to rub at one eye...
...And finally realizes that, while he still feels like he was sleeping somewhere hard and uncomfortable, he's not in his captain's chair.
"...Wait."
Is he back on Earth? It's the closest thing he's seen to it in a while. But wherever here is, he has no idea how he got here. Surely, if Emerald or some other Homeworld official had launched a successful attack on the ship, he would have been awake before it came to a crash. There would have been too much noise to sleep through, and surely someone would have woken him up.
He looks around... None of the Off-Colors are there. There's not even any sign of the ship's wreckage. So... No. No, there wasn't a crash. Maybe they went through a wormhole, or blackhole, or... He's seen those sort of things in space movies. Maybe that's it.
Lars stands up, and somewhere in the back of his mind, he finds himself wondering why these things always happen to him - but his more conscious stream of thought dismisses that quickly. He knows people who go through far worse, far more often.
"This still sucks," he mutters as he begins to walk down the street where he woke up.
