The last thing Xion expected was for a small animal to jump onto her legs and start making its way to her face. No, she didn't expect that at all, and she had a chance to choose between fight, flight, or freeze.

In this moment, she froze for a moment, before blocking with her arms so the cat couldn't get right up into her face.

"Um... what are you doing? You need to stop and stay right there." She said, uncertain at first but ending on firm. She just assumed that it was a random animal, and maybe it was weird to talk to an animal, but what else was she supposed to do?

He stopped before her arms, giving them a look. "Coming closer so I could ask an important question without having to shout," he said. Yes, the cat said that. But you've seen odder in Wonderland, right, Xion? It's just a talking cat... no big deal... right...?

"Ahh!" Xion yelped. She probably should have expected the cat could talk, but she just thought maybe it was a regular old cat. You know, the kind that don't talk.

"Sorry! Sorry, I thought you were a cat! I mean, you are a cat! But you can talk! I'm, um, I'm sorry, cat!" She flailed around a little before catching herself before she actually threw the cat off her lap.

"Well now I am all offended," he said, not offended at al, but seeing an opportunity. "Luckily, I know how you can make it up to me," he said, expertly dodging those swinging hands.

"I'm sorry!" Xion said again, glancing around, because this meant she messed up somehow, right? And maybe something bad was going to happen because of it. You never knew who was watching, who was listening, sometimes. Who could be behind a portal and suddenly...

"How can I make it up to you?" She asked.

And if he had known just how scared she was... even he would have felt badly. "We can go fishing!" Fishing made everything better.

Xion blinked, looking at the cat for a moment. Did he really say they could go fishing? But she didn't know how to fish! How could she make it up to him if she didn't know how to fish?

"I've never gone fishing before." Xion said cautiously.

He gave her a bright kitty smile. "That's okay. I can teach you. I've taught proper cat fishing to most of the city by this point!" Usually when they first arrive....

"Proper cat fishing?" Xion asked, curious in what that was. It sounded different then regular fishing, because cats couldn't use the same kind of fishing type thing, right? She didn't think they could. But could she fish like a cat if she wasn't a cat?
