Raphtalia stared at Adela a moment longer, only to lean forward to take the bread gratefully and quickly, scooting back to a safe distance again to take generous chomps out of the bread like she hadn't eaten in hours. Which.. she hadn't. Fried fish wasn't -that- filling. But the delight on her face was genuine. It was -good- food. Freshly bented! Bended! Freshly SOMETHING at least. And even better, not poisoned.
When she was about halfway through the bread she remembered her manners, and quickly - and forcefully swallowed a large lump of bread, beating her chest for a second to make sure it went down. "T.. Thank you."
