Hiro is familiar enough with portals. Less creepy voices in his head, but honestly, with the last few months he's lived, he's willing to roll with it. Try and figure out what it all means.

If it was a kidnapping. Really, the strange portal thing might mean this is just some weird accident. Though he'd THINK there's be scientists or SOMEONE around when activating strange portals.
And it is very strange.
"There has to be a power source somewhere," he says to himself, looking all around the area. Sometimes even climbing up the sides to try and find some kind of access panel. What are safety concerns when you're trying to figure out how a thing works?
