She winced when he apologized, then blinked confused a moment before a huge smile burst forth. "Sorry? What for? For scaring me like that, mate? I mean, anyone could be here right? Even my mum. Wouldn't that be something? To get to meet your own mum?" She realized she was babbling and tried to stop herself.
