[No seriously, it's Bambi.

[The fawn is currently wandering around in the forest, not ... really knowing that anything has gone horribly wrong. Just that he's kinda lost.

[But he'll find his mother soon, right?]

[Is... is that a FAWN?

Holy hell that's a fawn. Apparently Nautilus knows no limits.

Well it's okay little baby! Irene here is just approaching very carefully from the side. She's remaining in plain sight, so as not to startle him, and speaking in a very soft voice.]

[The good thing is, Bambi doesn't know enough about Man to know to flee from the strange creature approaching. The bad thing is ... he also has no idea what the strange creature approaching him is.

[At least, thanks to Nautilus being Nautilus, he's able to understand her words.

[Even so, his first reaction is to edge closer to his mother. Since she's not at his side, however, he winds up kinda freezing in place and staring intensely.

[Deer in the headlights? Pretty much.]

[Well, he doesn't seem to be running away, which is good! Irene hasn't memorized the bestiary here yet, but she's seen some pretty nasty critters running around the west and north.

She takes another step forward, smiling, trying to emanate soothing energy, here.]

Are you lost, hon? Because I don't think your mama came with you, but I can help you look for her, just in case.

[At the mention of his mother, Bambi's ears perk up, and he takes a little step forward.

[Sure, what she actually said about his mother doesn't make much sense to the fawn. As far as he knows, he didn't go anywhere. But the important thing here is:]

You'll help me find my mother?

[OH GOD A - well, this is Nautilus. Why is she surprised for even a second, here.

But she smiles, albeit a bit sadly. She would love to see a family reunion here, but she also knows there aren't any guarantees. More than likely, the fawn is here alone.]

I'll help you any way I can. I'm not sure if she's here or not, but if she isn't... don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you until she does get here.

My name's Irene. Do you, uh, have one?

[It looks like Irene's efforts to keep from startling the fawn have paid off. He walks towards her quite free of fear now ... even though he has to crane his neck a little bit to look up at her, once he's close enough.]

Bambi.

[Still, Bambi has no idea what she means, when she says that his mother may not be 'here'. Granted, it was winter when he last looked outside - but his mother told him that it would end. So it must've ended! He has no idea he's in a new place.]

My mother's not far. [She never is; he's just a little lost.] I have to tell her winter's gone!

[Irene smiles.]

Bambi. That's a really nice name.

Although... there's something I need to tell you before we go looking for her. Uh... do you happen to know where you are?

[He looks at her as though that's a very odd question. Because, to him ... that's a very odd question.]

The Forest.

[The Giant wanders the forest on a daily basis, given that he lives in one of the Cybertronian buildings there.

It isn't often that he sees wildlife he's familiar with, especially around this area, so he's mildly pleased when he spies the tiny deer.

He's ever so careful and quiet as he peers down at the little thing, not wanting to startle it. Yeah, just...don't freak out at the 50 foot robot, little guy.]

[Fortunately, the Giant's efforts appear to be paying off. Bambi doesn't seem to notice the robot - maybe because he's not in the habit of looking up quite so far. He just keeps right on wandering.

[Unfortunately, that wandering is taking him riiiiight up to the Giant's leg. As soon as he's close enough to see the metal, he just. Stops. And stares.]

....

[A few seconds later, he's wandering even closer. Because that's the weirdest tree he's ever seen. Ever.]

[It's so much smaller than the other deer he had seen with Hogarth, and if the Giant needed to breathe, then he would have been holding his breath as he watches the little thing now.

He holds completely still, the only movement being his jaw as it lifts in a derpy smile.]

[The metal smells strange; completely unlike anything that Bambi has found in the Forest. For the incredibly curious little fawn, this makes it EVEN MORE fascinating. With no lingering signs of uncertainty, he circles around one of the Giant's feet, sniffing and gently nosing at the metal all the while.

[When he comes to the opposite side, he looks over to the other side, where he started his little exploration. Allllll the way across the Giant's foot he looks ... then he starts backing away....

[... Because he's gonna try and jump it.]

[Oh? What was the little deer doing? The Giant peers intently as the fawn backs up, leaning forward juuust a little.]

[Just as he's about to charge forward, the movement causes Bambi to look up. And he sees the Giant leeeeeaning over him.]

....

[WELP. This would be a deer frozen in fear.]

[Whoops, he hadn't meant to scare the baby! He freezes in turn, mouth parting slightly before he shifts back a little, looking almost sheepish.]

[For a few seconds more, Bambi continues to stare up, not moving a muscle. And then, veeeeery slowly, he begins to relax.

[Maybe it's something about the Giant's expression that causes the fear to slowly wane. Or, maybe it's just the fact that the Giant isn't looming over him quite so much anymore. Either way, he slowly, sloooowly smiles up.]

Eh? [not often since he'd seen one of these around] Oi, Ace. Fresh meat.

[Awwwwwwww look at the cute little fawn.]

[Ace's eyes widen cheerfully to match the giant grin on his face.]

[And then he drools.]

[RUN BAMBI RUN!]

[With that sudden and loud of a noise? Yeah, Bambi's hightailing it out of there, sprinting in the opposite direction of the sound.

[For a deer still in his first year of life, it's kind of impressive how fast the little guy can go. Lucky for him, his small size makes it pretty easy to dart under dense foliage.]

[That is okay, Ace comes sneaking in through the forest after the deer, using finely tuned hunter skills that are better suited to nabbing tigers.]

I don't know Zoro, he's kind of small. Maybe we should wait until he gets nice and big, yeah?

[Actually. No.

No, he won't.

The other parental unit has arrived instead. While being lost in an unfamiliar forest disorients, the Great Prince does make his way in slow elegance to see his equally lost son.]

[It's easy enough for Bambi to keep himself entertained, as he explores this strange place. From the odd structures to the trees that move, the curious fawn quickly finds plenty to keep himself occupied.

[Unfortunately for him, there's no sudden stillness of galloping stags to warn him of the Great Prince's approach, this time. So, when Bambi turns around and suddenly sees THE GREAT PRINCE OF THE FOREST (!!!!!), he might jump and gasp a little.

[... Okay, maybe a lot.

[In any case, the fawn is silent, staring up in awe at the sight of the Great Prince.]

Hahaha, aww!

[He doesn't mean to startle. Being the Great Prince has that effect, unfortunately, and he's use to seeing this reaction.

Ears flick cautiously as he walks, those serious eyes watching the strange forest. He passes Bambi by a few steps, his pause poised, turning his gaze to look down at the fawn.

As distant as he acts, the hint of concern is real.]

[Beatrice is observing the place, really having no idea what direction to take, or where to go in all honesty. Her arms to her sides, looking for any trails, signs, anything to show where she was, but finding none. She stands where she is for now, and then upon looking around, sets her eyes upon what she assumes is the wildlife. A baby deer of all things. She smiles gently at the sight, not making her presence known, just observes the little one.]
