[Th green haired man chuckles. Hazama decides to do the next big news item as a demonstration. He holds up his hand, which is empty, and suddenly a hard boiled egg appears in it. He cracks the shell and eats the egg whole without a word.]

[Flattery would get you nowhere, Hazama. However...that little trick did indeed surprise him, though the movement was so subtle that his companion wouldn't be able to notice it. Behind his mask his eyes widened slightly. Then, his previously thoughtful expression turned back into a wry smile yet again.]

Taking up slight of hand, are we? I thought you of all people would find such parlor tricks blasé.

[A hint of mirth was laced in his tone, making it quite clear he was merely teasing. Go on and explain, Hazama, Relius knows you love to hear yourself talk.]

[Hazama chuckles again and makes the eggshell just seem to evaporate into nothingness.]

This is no parlor tricks, Relius. Though it might look like it. That was Bending. This world here has one other big bonus. It gives all of its residence the ability to manipulate reality with their willpower.

Though it comes at a price of losing all your abilities from home. You can just bend them back though with time. It's like we can all do magic now.

So this "bending" is the source of my missing abilities...

[He considers this for a few seconds. Seems sound, so he nods. Of course, something Hazama says just doesn't sit well with him. Not entirely, anyway.]

I suppose that makes sense, though I doubt gaining them back through sheer willpower is as easy as you say. On the average, how long does it take in order to gain back an ability?

It takes about a month per ability unless you practice nonstop. And considering your...pension for exploration and experimentation? I give it three week or so.

That's the second time you've used such terminology, Hazama. Care to elaborate?

And I thought such an ability would carry a decently-sized burden. No matter; I shall adapt to this strange new world all the same.

Apparently, when we come to this world we "Awaken". Our world is real but more like a dream than anything else. While we're here, we're awake. When we go back to our world, we are asleep.

I see. And what do you think of all this?

That's the thing. I'm not sure. They say when you go home, you just sort of watch your life play out and can't do anything yourself. Like it's a movie. I haven't gone back yet so I can't tell you if there's any weight to it or not.

Well, hearing it as but a humble observer I must say it does seem a bit farfetched. Still, I can't be certain just yet. This requires further, much closer inspection. Wouldn't you agree?
