[The communicator flickers to life, and a velvety, and yet frightened, voice pipes up on the airwaves of the communicators. There's a brief shuffling before a the man's voice becomes clear.]

H-Hello? Night Vale Listeners? Are you there? I seem to be in some kind of alternate universe.

If anyone can hear me, please. I'm out here in what looks to be a wasteland of some sort--

Oh. There's a tree made of hands. And, aw. They're waving to me! Hello here hands! Oh aren't you just darling?

[There's a crunching sound. The man sounds like he's walking.]

While those trees are quite cute, I must insist on getting back to my booth. Back to Night Vale. My dear Carlos must be worried sick about me!
