CR Chart Meme

I always have a hard time finding motivation to write up CR charts for my characters.  Doing it in meme form always helps!

Not too familiar with the guy, but he seems cheerful and friendly enough. Loves food; especially chili dogs.

SOUL WHY DIDN'T YOU LIKE THE NAME "SONIC'S SUPER AWESOME BAND." KNUCKLES AND TAILS PUT UP WITH HIM NAMING EVERYTHING AFTER HIMSELF. /EGO CRUSHED. CRIES FOREVER.

I mean.

Man, I can even think of a decent parallel to make of their CR, because Soul seems so chill and it's really not like any CR that Sonic has in canon. I guess it's unique in and of itself in that way. I, myself, like that kind of contrast in their personalities and it seems like Soul would be a great balance to Sonic's sometimes outlandish personality.

As of right now, Sonic's thoughts of him are along the lines of 'He's a pretty cool guy. Having a band is cool. I don't get his fascination with Kinshin-whatevermabobbers. Still don't get what a Meister is.'

Of course, I think that'll develop more as they have more threads. AND I really look forward to them having more threads together and just working on the bending thing because in my head that is going to end up amazing. Okay maybe not so in my head because I've drawn quite a few pictures on the overall look of the abilities. Out of all the characters Sonic currently has CR with, Soul is the one I'd like to have more threads with just to flesh the CR out some more.

BECAUSE IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU SONIC.

I mean.

I would really love to have more threads together with these two, I enjoy their CR for all of these reasons!

CHRIS. You're a weird kid and Sonic is not quite sure what to make of you quite yet. The whole 'different world' thing doesn't bother him too much because thinking about those things too hard is best left to someone other than him.

You remind him quite a lot of older!Tails, which will probably end up being an interesting contrast in the future as things go along. That's probably why he was quick to bring up the Freedom Fighters.

That, and holy crap he can't wait for these sneaker powerups.

Ahem. I mean. So Tails.

Sonic's little bro and the only one in this game who Sonic genuinely L-words because he's family, though good luck getting him to say as much because ugh mushy words. Will an aggressive noogie do instead.

Having to interact with Tails in Nautilus has been pretty interesting because of his age and where he sits developmentally. To Tails' credit, there are a lot of times that Sonic just forgets about Tails being younger altogether because Tails just acts like the clever little fox that he's always known who builds all sorts of crazy shiet. It's only during moments when there are obvious differences like being afraid of a plush (EVEN IF IT'S TAILS PLUSH OH GOD) or jumping at thunder, or having to deal with extremely heavy subjects, that Sonic regresses and goes 'oh. right.' then tries to compensate for those things without making Tails feel bad for Sonic having to take it down a notch.

He still respects Tails as much as he would in the future, and knows how great he can become, but Sonic wants to let Tails figure that out for himself and give him some kudos along the way when he does. YOU DO YOUR THING, AND HE'LL SIT HERE LIKE A PROUD BRO even if he only got a five second tutorial on how Angelii works he knows you'll be good at it.

SO YEAH. Even if Tails makes friends with the bad guys, turns kinda temporarily evil, makes a bunch of crazy gadgets and whatnot Sonic will most likely still wub you and junk. But yeah that whole making friends with evil guys is kind of a concern. Maybe you should stop doing that.

Actually, typing this out and putting my finger on exact thoughts is surprisingly difficult. SO IMMA SORRY IF IT GETS ALL RANTY.

On one hand, he really likes Lucas. For whatever reason Lucas brings out the risky bratty showoff in him; Maybe it's the fact that Lucas seems like a little bit of a daredevil himself and that's enabling for someone who likes doing the same thing. Lucas is totally his partner in crime for crazy stuntthings! Maybe not even crazy stunts, just all around silliness. It's not everyone who would understand the significance of making faces at each other over the network.

Though on the other hand, their relationship is kind of superficial and Sonic doesn't know much about Lucas beyond him being able to do a pretty cool tricks and having a car that he intently wants to steal. Or he did want to steal until he saw Mike's car. Sorry :| Which, in earnest, is good enough for him. Sometimes friends are just people you have fun with and it's best not to think about it too hard.

Though he can tell that underneath it all Lucas is fairly logical and dedicated, which he respects. Sonic just now, after months of knowing Woocas, is getting a clear picture of what he actually does back home and who Lucas is outside of the crazy stuntwork. When I think about it, The Freedom Fighters log was the first time they seemed to actually sit down and talk. ..And Sonic has mixed feelings about Lucas picking up on him being nervous about the leadership thing. (Along the lines of he's wondering if it's just dumb luck that he knew, or if he's that good at reading people.)

Overall.. I think that with the risky mannerisms and hearing about his difficulties back home with leadership, Sonic sees a lot of himself in what Lucas does. After their chat I think Lucas is one of the few people Sonic might actually open up to more eventually.

And no, he doesn't think Lucas's abilities are any sort of crazy. Even if heframed his concerns really badly he's more worried about Lucas' wellbeing. If Lucas wants to stare intently at floors of chase ghosties, that's cool. Sonic'll take you to Sandopolis zone and you can have a ball with those ghosties there.

To be fair, Lucas does give out random advice so he didn't think Sonic was nervous but HEY HAVE SOME ADVICE ANYWAYS DUDE YEAH. Definitely a lucky guess. x| I really love that they're just two dorks for the longest time but them getting to actually talk has been great, too.

Nott is.. a bit tricky I guess.

From their CR thus far, Sonic isn't really sure what to make of him. On one hand he can see that Nott is rather level-headed but still willing to make tough decisions, which he can respect. Though on the other hand more recent events have given Sonic this lingering feeling of doubt that Nott is capable of trusting him completely. Not that he expects people to give trust away all that easy, so it's not something he's going to hold against him too much.

Nott reminds him a lot of someone he's dealt with in the past too with that sort of apprehensive nature and ability to hold grudges. Sometimes Sonic wishes Nott would just take a page from Lucas, stop worrying so much, and have fun.

And no, Sonic doesn't hold it against him for shooting Tails when they first met. He wishes that Nott would have thought of a better solution than that, but things were kind of all sorts of screwed up during that so at least it turned out okay. If it hadn't, well, his opinion would probably be different.

CROCKSIEFACE.

Uhh. What is there to say about Crocker. When they first met Sonic could see that he wasn't exactly liked, so he went and took a standpoint that he wasn't going to make it a point to interact with Crocker more than he had to. He really didn't understand why he was so defensive and went off on things that were so--what he considered to be--small and insignificant. He still holds that perspective to a point.

He wishes Crocker would sit down, forget about the past, and just have fun. In recent threads Sonic is able to clearly see that his dislike for the past might be the reason Crocker is in his current situation. It's only made more obvious when they had that storm that made them think they were family and Crocker seemed okay with that. So, yeah, in that respect Sonic feels bad for him.

All in all, Sonic just wants to try and have fun and get along as best as possible. Though even if he's going to try and get along he isn't going to admit that Crocker's way of looking at things and getting revenge is right.

UH. Let me first preface this by saying that I never expected these two to get along aaaat all. I went in with the pretense of 'well, maybe they'll tolerate each other eventually.' Never have I been so wrong. I was surprised.

At first Irene seemed like someone who could take a joke and was fun to talk to though she could get too deep for his liking. He actually thinks that her dry humor is a lot like Sally's which might have given her a bit of a boost in terms of his opinion of her. Overall Sonic thought she was levelheaded and fun to talk to on occasion, even if he did combo break all of her serious business topic chains.

That was pretty much it there for a while. And then, well, if I had to draw his opinion for her in the next couple threads it would look like this: \/\/\/\/\/\/\/ But I'll give an abridged version of overall thoughts.

At first previous/during the tryouts Sonic was a little leery of her, to be honest. Her Freedom Fighters demonstration left him questioning her intentions just because the display was so completely utterly violent, and he promptly brought up his concerns because social grace what is that. But after talking to her a little and getting a better feel of her intentions, she genuinely seemed like someone who he could relate to. Not only relate to, but ask for help like a comrade. Considering they came from the same sort of circumstances he feels a sense of comradery with Irene that he really doesn't with anyone else and he feels at home when talking to her because it's like having a conversation with a pal from back home.

So yeah, way to garner his loyalty with just a few words there Irene. It might have been slightly offhanded, but he meant all the words about helping her world and she is one of his favorite people for offering to help with his.
