Tails senses a lot of potential in Li (lawl ;D) but he gets the feeling that he's hiding a lot more of his potential than he lets on. Not that he's exactly onto his ACTUAL secrets, but Tails does suspect that Li sort of shortchanges himself when it comes to his own talents and abilities, and he'd love to try and bring that out of him because of course that's totally the problem. ;DD He wants to get to know Li more, because he seems pretty nice! And he's let him drag him all over the place, lord knows, so Tails sees him as pretty tolerable and nice all around and of course he's not hiding anything, is he? :333
