GOSH KID what have you been through. Shinji's one of the few people that Nash has actually told about what happened to Neriae (that weren't present when the Dark Aeon thing happened), and given how vehemently the kid was about wanting to just run away from everything, he can't help but wonder what in the world Shinji's been involved in. That paired with how negative he was during the Bending lessons... He feels sorry for him, but he can't help if the kid won't listen, and he knows that can't be forced. So he'll wait on it. He'd like to talk to Shinji again, given the chance. ...and he also has to wonder if there might be something more to those red spears the kid kept Bending up during class.
