Not necessarily. Not all demons are like that. And if you've been able to decide so far, then you keep on deciding. If you care about something, then it doesn't matter if others like you don't, you still do. So you should protect it, and don't worry about what other people think of it.

Ace... There is a lot more then just the beast in my blood. I'm caught in so many struggles for power, control, even Muraki wants me for something. The further things get, the more innocent lives get caught up in the cross-hairs. People who weren't supposed to die keep dying, and there's nothing I can do other than try to stop the ones responsible, which is might easier said than done...

It means I'm a weapon, a tool of the Ministry. You should know how much that would bother me. Enma-Daioh-dono has been good to me though. He hasn't really needed me to step up as much as he used to. I'm even placed in a dead district of Japan to work in, but I end up being called in for everyone else's cases...

It's more work than it's worth.
