[Call him curious, but Tails is going to follow the sound of that humming. It sounds... nice. And what he finds leaves him blinking a little in surprise. This certainly looked like a newcomer if he ever saw one.]

[Trying a congenial smile, he approaches slowly.]

Hey, Miss? Are you new 'round here?

[voicelessly]

[ The humming cuts off. She looks at the newcomer and her eyes grow big from surprise.

Talking fox, huh? Definitely not something she'd seen from back home.

She gets up and silently kneels down close to the small creature. Red grins before tugging on the creatures ear. ]

[Uh... that is his ear being tugged. And for a second Tails is a bit too flummoxed to respond, but it's not like it hurts. In fact, it's almost as if she's... being playful? He tries to smile back.]

Ahaha, well, guess that's a better response than I usually get from newcomers.

Are ya lost?

[voicelessly]

[ Better reaction that most? Red pursed her lips before booping her finger lightly against the foxes nose. Begged the question on what kind of reaction he normally got. Later, though. ]

[ She shakes her head. ] MmmMmm.

[ Had to know where you were supposed to be to be lost. That didn't mean she wasn't missing someone. Red pointed to the gate some distance away that she'd come from. ] ...?

[doubletailpilot]

[Tails' eyes cross for a second as he gets... booped. Okay. That was... different. But still better than the OH MY GOD A TALKING FOX reaction he got out of most humans. Not having to cut into the initial panic on that one really saved them both some time.]

[He looks over at the gate she's pointing to.]

Oh! Yeah, you jus' came through that gate, right? You're in a place called Nautilus. It's... kind of a city between worlds. But don't worry! Wherever you came from, it's... kinda frozen in time, now. That means that any time you do go back, it'll be like you never left.

[voicelessly]

Huh.

[ Frozen in time? Wonder if it would've just been better if time continued moving on back in Cloudbank.

She stood up and looked around. If that her home and this were connected, wonder what that made this 'Nautilus'. Maybe what took her world could take this place too. ]

[ She glanced up Red pointed at the blue sky overhead. Was the sky here always like that? ]
