There's the down-low. You're in a magical living city. You can bend now. It's like magic but without all the stupid words. And you get to go home whenev you want to an' can come back whenev too.

Yeah, you can. You gotta learn to Bend first but after you get it down, you can just go home whenever you want. You can come back too. It's like a revolving door.

[Jake's face falls a little.]

Trippy? [From Jake's expression, Armand thinks that must mean more than it sounds like to him.] What do you mean?

That sounds hard to believe. I--I still want to see that all is well at home. I don't wish to worry myself as much as see that my family knows I'm well.

So I've gained a new opportunity at the cost of my old life.

I don't know how, but some people go back to sleep. If you do that, I guess you go back home and forget all about Nautilus. Life goes back to normal then...I think.

It doesn't seem a good idea to wish yourself smaller.

I have a feeling that getting used to being here depend on how well I can adjust to surprises.
