Hei, stranger! [The voice comes from the pack as a whole. Most of them stop a ways away, but the smallest one gets closer, grinning a doggy smile.]

This is not the Fire Nation, no. I am not sure what that is. I think the Western District is associated with fire, though. Anyway! This is the city of Nautilus, and we are in the Eastern District!

[Heads tilt and the others spread out to get a better look at the girl's arm movements.] What are you trying to do with your arms? Some sort of magic?

[Telepathic animals are the last thing she's expecting and Korra stares wide eyed for a good few seconds looking from wolf to wolf. Nautilus isn't a city she knows off the top of her head, but she keeps a sharp on them. The arctic wolves back home aren't nice and she's not about to let her guard down.]

[Beat.]

Did you really just talk?

[The wolves give friendly smiles and the smallest- the only one with a tail- wags it cheerfully.]

I do not think you can do that, yet. It usually takes a little while to learn Bending. And I am not sure how you would use it to remove water...

[She shifts her stare from one wolf to the next. Seeing them as one instead of individuals isn't easy, but that's the least of her worries.]

Yeah, I'm human. [For the most part at least.] I was born a waterbender, I've been bending my whole life. This should be easy.

[One more try to waterbend with her arms leaves Korra frustrated.]
