A whole lot of stuff that I'm not that good at explaining. Basically what it boils down to is we can't leave, so "thrilling heroics" are all but pointless.

[And the optic thing was totally unrelated to literally everything of any importance.]

I mean, I know people who can tell you better than I'd be able to, I'll get someone to explain it all.
