I am not surprised. We are only on one remote planet and only recently entered our industrial age, and the only humans who know of us are the ones who crashed on our planet and the ones who were stranded rescuing them.

[The response has all the honesty of a name drawn up at random out of a hat, but Rex doesn't question it. Given how uneasy this guy looks, he's probably afraid to give out his real name or any other important details about who he is or where he's from. In a way, it's something Rex is familiar with as a former agent of Providence. Hell, covering up an identity is something his own partner would do in a situation like this. Just...with a lot more ease and skill.]

Well, for starters, you're in a city called Nautilus. Sometimes affectionately referred to as "the City of Change." That's the easy explanation.

The one that usually throws people for a loop is that Nautilus is...sorta between worlds. Like a multiversal hub. So wherever you're from, you're waaaaay outside of that place, now.

[Gaining his feet Rex, steps down off the flat rock.]

[That sort of thing was never something Fitz had really believed much in, being a scientist and all, but he frowns in a thoughtful sort of way.]

A different question: If you know about the death of Agent Coulson, I assume you know of what happened after in your little world. I merely seek to know how much time has passed for you since that happening before Nautilus called you.
