Apparently it's not a country. It's its own world. Weird, huh? Oh yeah, and it's sentient. Apparently it's always watching us.

[Okay, that?...finally puts him on alert in earnest. He really doesn't like the sound of that.]

Sentient and a voyeur, huh? There some kind of central hub or something?

Oh no, no, no! Not like that! More like... a god? Or that's what I'm getting from the explanations. Apparently some big and powerful Bender that became a world and all.

[She looks confused about the other term. She thinks before answering.] Like a city center? Yeah, there is one. I've just never been!

[Ooooookay...though he supposes that's not SO far from some of the myths and folktales he's heard of over time. He relents - a bit - and nods.]

Would he be the one that summoned me here, then?

Yeah. That's how everyone got here. Link said it was a Call you hear while you were dreaming. I guess not everyone remembers that part. I thought I was just having another weird dream!

[She hands him the rest of the bag of cookies before looking rather excited.]

You can use magic here if you practice hard! It's called Bending! I'm not the greatest at it yet, but I can make food. Wanna see?

[Everyone. And this girl is obvuously not a demon or fae or other supernatural of some kind. Huh. He'll definitely have to check this out some more. But for now, he's a bit startled to find himself suddenly holding her bag. He's very used to magic, though conjuring /food/ is a new one by him.]

[She nods and puts her hands together, screwing up her face in concentration. After moment, she parts them... and there's a bag of gummy worms.]

See? Hiro had me try some of these, and they're really, really good! Sour first, then sweet. I can only do little things like this right now.

That's still impressive. Is there some kind of silent incantation that you do?

Nope. It's all about willpower and really wanting it. Food's the easiest to bend. [Maybe...] Why don't you try it? Think about something you like to eat that you want really badly?

Just for the TDM, Imma kinda speed up a bit how fast he catches on. XD;;;

[He holds up his stone hand, palm flat. He can faintly feel the ambient energies of this place, the "possibility" all around him. Interesting. He's not particularly hungry, so there's nothing he wants "really badly" right now, but…]

[After a few minutes of concentrating and feeling something actually starting to happen, he watches a very small and slightly misshapen pancake appear on his palm.]

Huh. I'll be damned.

[Not that he probably isn't already, but that's beside the point.]

[She claps her hands together, a big smile on her face.]

[He actually understood her explanation. Maybe she wasn't so bad at this.]

If you practice a lot, you can make weather happen.
