Nautilus is a pocket universe of sorts where almost anything is possible. What you desire strongly enough can become real.. or not. [tilts head slightly] Are you familiar with Earth and human culture? If so, consider Nautilus to be like "The Twilight Zone", only without the nasty twist endings. We prefer more "Highway to Heaven", with the soft feel-good endings instead, but some people just don't suit.

Are you a mutant or other variant human, or what?

I am a Cybertronian Pretender Demon. There are quite a few of us Cybertronians--sentient robotic beings--here in Nautilus--from different universes, even. The multiverse apparently likes us machine life-forms as much as it likes humans.

However, I am the only Pretender here. Back home, I was one of the first volunteers for the Pretender project, so, while I'm not quite unique, I am one of an elite few. Or was.

I think almost everyone in Nautilus is unique in one way or another.
