She jumps at the voice, and turns to stare at him, mouth forming a little 'o' for a moment. With curious eyes, she goes over all the strange details of his appearance before she realizes what she's doing and looks down, biting her lip. That was rude. Should she apologize? Or maybe it's better to just answer his question. After a moment, she nods. Her voice is soft and almost toneless.

"Yes. I - I'm not sure where I am." Not that she'd spent a great amount of time looking for street signs when she'd had so many other things to look at.

The mercenary wasn't bothered by her staring at him. He's pretty used to it.

Her small voice would probably have been lost on some louder, more obnoxious and ignorant members of his team, but Medic being, well. The Medic, he had exceptionally well hearing, trained to pick up faint calls from the other side of the battlefield if necessary. His response came with a pair of raised brows.

"Vell, I remember being told zhat zhis sort of zhing is supposedly quite common. People come zhrough zhe gates of zhe city vithout fully realizing zheir own relocation and, as a result, end up lost and unfamiliar vith zheir surroundings." He blinked once "Have you ever heard of Nautilus before?"

Sorry, she's the bulk of this is actually rather important, but she's still rather disoriented; her eyes have been watering from the bright light of the sun, her legs ache from walking on uneven ground for the first time in her life, and now all of that no longer matters because he said the magic word.

"People? There are people here? More, I mean?"

Kadri smiles, hands wringing and playing with the fabric of her skirt nervously.

"Uh, yes?" Medic replied, then blinked once.

"Zhough not all of zhem are actually people. Some are robots. Others are more like..." and here he paused, seeking for a suitable term to use to refer to the various quite colorful inhabitants of the city "Talking... Rats?"

Well. He tried. Cartoons weren't much of a thing yet where this mercenary came from and he had only ever dared to try out Pyrovision once. Which wasn't a memory he would ever willingly recall.
