"It's alright."
"It's alright."

As Perry spoke an electronic voice coming from that security camera spoke with him in tandem. The young man ran a hand through his hair anxiously, looking between the robot and the building.

"This is going to be hard to explain..."
"This is going to be hard to explain..."

Nautica did indeed notice the... bit of an echo, between this apparent Earthlet and the camera not too far away.

Huh. Interesting!

"I have a bit of a knack for the hard to explain," she said, smiling softly. "Is it a remote host connection you have with this complex? I suppose that would make it yours?"

Perry was a bit embarrassed. "That's sort of it. It's---I'm kind of having an out of body experience here, I guess."

He ventured that if anyone would understand, maybe a robot would. "My body...um...brain...is in the building there. But, this is not South Dakota, and I'm not in a simulation, so I don't know what's going on."

Nautica paused. "Your brain is in the complex? Hm. I think I see, and I'm sorry if I'm being a bit presumptuous here, but by chance are you some sort of AI, maybe?"

Because usually someone's brain module wasn't separate from their body unless they were either a robotic drone, an AI, or... well, freakish undead zombie apparently wasn't impossible here, but Nautica was willing to stay positive on that one.

"I've only just received the guides, myself, and I still can't quite say what all's going on. But what I do know is we're in a multiversal city called Nautilus."

"I am, apparently...." Perry trailed off shaking his head. "But, I've never been in simulation and out at the same time. It's trippy."

He pointed at the complex behind him. "That's the PRISM complex. I have never been on the outside before. The computer there is PRISM, which is also me, but, I'm Perry."

Where was that shrink Dr. Perelman had hired, when you needed him?

Nautica couldn't help looking on in amazement, before staring straight at Perry in what could only be awe.

"So you're an Artificial General Intelligence? Your language parameters are very sophisticated! And if what the guides say are true, that would mean you've elevated yourself to a level of sentience, even!"

Yeah, sorry that the nerdbot is being weird at you, Perry.
