"Not all of us are travelers. I didn't need to leave for that to change. I had ways to break up the routine when it became dull. But it all stopped working at once and the feeling kept getting worse and worse. Maybe if one thing stopped, it'd be reasonable," he said, fidgetting with the ring more and more.
