Twelve's tone signifies his disappointment. And he suspects he'll be better at it, due to his time in his Confession Dial and the amount of time he spent in his 'storm room'. But in general, when it comes to focus and silence and just thinking, Twelve is just more apt with those things than his earlier selves. Maybe it has something to do with age. Maybe it's because of his musical aptitude this go... Thoughts for another time.
Most of the rest of Ten's speech is going in one ear and out the other. Twelve, as his own person will formulate his own decisions about who is and isn't to be trusted and he'll be damned if he doesn't claim the name 'Doctor' since it is his name. Actually, Ten telling him not to, is reverse psychology, makes him want to do it more.
While Ten had been talking, Twelve had continued to play with his phone, which now he recognised as one of the phones he had gotten recently while travelling in the States. Well, at least it explains why none of the TARDIS specific features are built into it.
"Guns. Why does keeping the peace always involve killing people?"
He's used a gun recently, but figured this was a safer revelation to Ten than to share he had returned to Gallifrey and killed the General.

Afterwards, stares over in his own dreadful and serious manner, "It shouldn't. No one should have to die."
Outside of the fixed points but since Ten can't sense time here, he can't tell what is fixed and what isn't.
"No one dies." Ten states rather gravely as both his hearts beat in his chest and his mind whirls in a circle.
Is this - is this The Master? No. It can't be. He doesn't have any regenerations left! And how would The Master know about Donna when Ten didn't mention her by name?
Why would his future -
"I not going to become you. Ever."

"No one? Never forget that chaos is the metabolism for the universe. Death is the one thing that unifies every single living creature in the universe."
Wow, he had no idea what an idiot he was when he was younger. His life has improved so much now that he can admit being an idiot and being wrong about some things.
He chuckles softly at Ten's declaration.
"You're right. You don't become me."

However, any deaths that Ten can prevent the better.
Before rapidly blinking in confusion at that last statement and his eyes wide in shock and confusion as well as his mouth.
"But I don't have any regenerations left for after that..."
Complete side-eyeing wondering now if you're a Wirrn now.

He shakes his head, but that's all he'll say. Because to talk about bringing Gallifrey back and how the Time Lords granted him another regeneration cycle of unknown number... well. That really would blow Ten's brain. And since he needed his brain in tact, he figures that would be a bad idea.

Just doesn't add up.
The shock and confusion does not leave his face and picks up his suitcase and proceeds to leave. If the other doesn't stop Ten, Ten will wave with his fingers with his back towards Granddad.
Still very confused.
