She covers her mouth in shock when he speaks, but lowers her hands when he adds on. This doctor was different and it was amazing and sad all at the same time.

"So... something happened to the Doctor I know and you came because of it?"

It was a horrifying thought. He could go away. Like a human but at the same time not.

"No. Something happened to the man you recognise as the Doctor and another man came. I came after him."

Since Ten really doesn't like Twelve, it's an important distinction.

"And each time this - whatever happens, another one completely different comes? Do you have any of his memories?" she asks curiously.

It would make sense. At least a degree, but she wanted to make sure.

"Yes. And Yes. I'm the same man, just look different. That said - I have no recollection of this place. And if he's here, I should, which means this place.... doesn't exist."

Not in the normal sense, anyway.

"Oh no. It's real. Trust me. Think of it as another plane of existence." She adds with a smile and a shrug.

"It's kind of - well, weird honestly. But since you're The Doctor I'm sure you've experienced much weirder things."

"I've been to many different planes of existence.... None of them ever resulted in my senses being taken from me."

Which means he's not going to accept this as 'real' anytime soon.

"We are surrounded by chaos energy. So that might have something to do with it." She adds with a shrug.

"It causes all sorts of weird things to happen. Like bending and the storms."

He shakes his head. "I'll need proof before I'll accept anything like that."

Because he's the Doctor and that's how he rolls.

"You will. Before your first month is over here, you should experience your first storm. I did." She reassures him, confidently.

"Storm?"

Because of course he would latch onto that word.

[luckbe_alady]

"Yes, sir. Storm. They happen like the weather here. Once a month or so, at least what I've noticed while being here." She adds with a shrug.

"I guess unless the city is feeling especially creative then we'd get more."

[not_the_question]

"And what happens... during these... storms."

The Doctor is curious, but hesitantly so. He doesn't like the idea of what it could me. He has a very active imagination and it can dream up quite a lot, which isn't a good thing when dealing with the known.

She nods, "Yes, sir. Though it can be kind of fun. Singing isn't a bad thing so long as you're not letting out any secrets or hurting anyone."

The Doctor is confounded. Which doesn't happen often.

"I..m... sorry? What does singing have to do with storms? Or even secrets?"

[luckbe_alady]

She giggles, "my first storm made everyone sing. I did a very nice duet with a close friend of mine. I was telling everyone that the singing could be bad if we were singing our secrets to everyone, but we weren't. We were just - singing."

The Doctor groans. "That... What if people couldn't sing? Did it all just sound terrible?"

[luckbe_alady]

"Everyone was actually pretty good at it." She replies brightly, "It's like, even if you were tone deaf, it didn't matter because the city just tuned you up."

"Of course it would."

He sighs softly.

"How pathetically boring. So what do you do for fun and excitement?"
