"Donna. Listen to me. And listen good, alright? This place is called Nautilus. It's a sleeping universe. Where all the parallal universes can mesh together. As well as timelines. Nautilus is a living being. Nautilus called you here. And you can get harmed here."
Ten pauses and both his hearts beat in his chest he really hates saying to her that he can't help her and protect her here.
"I can only help you if and only if you don't tell me anything about us."
There's a pause, "I'm behind you in our universe's timeline. And it's dangerous very dangerous for me to know what will be for me."
There's some tears rolling down his cheeks, "I can't help you if you talk to me beyond our meeting during your wedding... I just can't. I'm sorry.
... You can come with me if you don't talk. Can you promise me that, Donna?"

When he does start to speak, Donna does pause. Of course the more he speaks the more her brow furrows. Nautilus, like the submarine? And sleeping universe? She's fairly certain she's awake, and knows she was in the TARDIS. Yet when he says it's a living being, she does glance down at her feet as if she is standing on something.
Her mouth does open several times to interrupt, but each time it closes again. "But- What."
Behind? Wedding? "But that was so long ago."
She can't help but say that, and really, he should be glad she hasn't said more. Still, the expression on her face says she can't believe that. Unless there is another wedding...? But then he would have said that and not that he is from the past. "We've done so much. Seen so much..."
But her voice trails off, not saying another word.

"It was - for you Donna. Before I came here, you had just told me good-bye. Told me to find someone."
There's a pause, "Like I said, this place wrecked." An even longer pause, "Rose is here. Rose Tyler. She - shouldn't be. But she is. Timelines and other universes merge here Donna. And mesh around like a big ball of yarn."
Ten doesn't want to leave a companion behind. Especially, on how Rose is still eating on his conscious. She's here safe. At least till they return home - whenever that is.
The real question is would it be wise to have Rose and Donna traveling with him? The Doctor doesn't know if he's said anything about Rose. But guess he'll find out.

He had said much the same before, but Donna remembers how he had run to her when she had appeared. It was okay that she was here though, right? Since she was back on Earth again, or back on their Earth again. But she can't say anything about that, can she? It likely is the quietest that Donna has been in ages, although if what he says is true... Then she's going to have to think about every word.
"Spoilers." It is mumbled, reminiscent of a certain other individual, although Donna doesn't clarify that either. "But I was called? I can tell you I didn't answer any call."

Then there's 'Granddad' wandering around as well. Something else that isn't going to spoken about.
Meanwhile, The Doctor watches Donna carefully.
"You had to have. You're here. As am I. As is Rose. And it's a mess. All of it."
Another pause, "Come on, Donna. I'll show you where we're staying."

And it is something that she will try to keep. After all, she hadn't looked in River's book, leaving it there in the library where the Doctor had set it down. "I might not be a fancy Timelord, but I think I know a call when I hear one, unless this is some mute call or call that only dogs can hear. Or Timelords."
Because that might explain this call and why she hadn't heard it.
"We who?" As Donna hasn't moved from the spot she's in at all. "Just give me the rundown, and I can manage."

Ten winces when Donna uses Time Lord out loud at least on the inside but Donna should see that and draws himself closer and states in a whisper, "I'm the only one here." Which is a lie. Ten knows 'Granddad' or one of his future selves is here. Ten gives a silent look of no needing to shout that Time Lord business.
Then continues to whisper,
"Just because you're human don't be going and be littling yourself. In fact - there's a lot of people here are. And they are the most interesting and amazing! In so many ways.. Just like you are."
Then a pause, "Me. You and Rose. I'm not letting anything happen to either of you."
He really doesn't want the Time Lord thing to get out. He's not ready. He doesn't have his abilities. He doesn't have a place where he can hide for awhile. He knows there are some very dangerous creatures/people here. Which Ten doesn't know what fully what they can do. Not in a place where reality is what you will it to be.
On top of not wanting requests from everyone to help fix their universes time flaws for their own selfish purposes most likely.
"Let's not talk about what I am outside. Too many ears. And there's no running away from this place."

But she is a temp from Chiswick. Interesting and amazing are the last things that she would call herself. And although her expression says as much, she turns instead to what else he is saying. It's easier to address that then to go on about how wrong he is otherwise. "Just how unsafe is it here?"
Not that trouble doesn't seem to find her sometimes anyway... She just doesn't technically go looking for it. It doesn't look that bad, but Donna knows that looks can be deceiving.

"There's also some big fuss about reality storms but have yet to see what those are like." Even if there has been one but such a minor one that The Doctor hadn't even noticed. Ten peers up at the sky.
"From the information I've gathered, it's not as peaceful as it looks. There was a war not that long ago."
Donna can probably sense that Ten isn't going to leave her side until she does decide to follow.
no subject
"I'll make certain to get an umbrella then." As if that is the obvious answer to whatever this reality storm is. Or, you know, plunk herself down in a doorway or a building and wait for it to pass. Although it does beg the question of what next? Get the TARDIS to get them out of here? The fact that the Doctor is still here seems to say it's not that simple of a thought.
Yet looking at him, she recognizes that stance, and with a roll of her eyes, starts off. "Fine. I'll walk with you for a while."
