[ He is not a droid!

He is an apex predator, one who follows the trail of those very unique cries right to their source, and what does he find but his favorite prey perched on top.

Jedi.

Kenobi.

It isn't unusual to find Kenobi by himself, but he's always expected by, or expecting someone. Someone who will notice if he goes missing. Dragging him far enough away from where he's meant to be will give Grievous some time to interrogate before the inevitable slaughter of the Jedi filth.

But first, he needs to take care of the mount. With all the subtlety of a charging rancor he abandons his cover, barreling on all fours for the creature's neck.]

[He's close enough! Even Darth Vader has more of his original body left than you do, Grievous.

But you know, if you had actually tried stealth rather than the full on charge, you might have gotten somewhere.

The sound of heavy clanking coming his way is certainly enough to trigger his war time instincts and he quickly turns to look. Pulling on the reigns to turn Boga's head out of the line of attack. An ignited lightsaber in his hand the next moment, swinging at his attacker whom he instantly recognizes.]

[ Up and over that swing, landing with a loud skid to a halt a debatable safe distance away from the Jedi and his animal. Not within a saber's reach, but that can always change in an instant.

Even so, that doesn't seem to stop him from taking a moment to give a short, humorless laugh. ]

Unexpected, but not unsurprising to find you here, Kenobi.

[Obi-Wan's gaze follows the cyborg as he leaps and lands again. Far enough away to not make him an immediate threat, but the Jedi's attention never leaves him.]

General Grievous, it is an unpleasant surprise to see you in one piece. Last I saw you, you were little more than spare parts.

[ There's a much louder bark of laughter, dissolving into a cough just as loud. Neither seems to stop him from taunting for very long. ]

Perhaps in your pitiful dreams, Jedi filth! If either of us will see the other in pieces, it will be me standing above your remains.

Not here, I'm afraid! At least, not permanently. There's little to gain from fighting in this place, so I suggest you stand down.

[And with that, Obi-Wan powers down his lightsaber.]

There's no war here, Grievous, unless you intend to make one.

[ His eyes narrow, clearly suspicious. Kenobi is tricksy, but Grievous can't immediately recall a time the man's been so arrogant as to sheathe his weapon with a threat right in front of him like this.

Grievous rears up, though it looks more to stand than to pounce as his posture had been silently threatening. Not an attack, but not relaxing even a fraction either. ]

Where there are Jedi, there is always a war.

[Arrogance or confidence? Obi-Wan knows that any new arrival is not likely to be much of a threat. He has a clear advantage, whether the general knows it or not.]

I think not. Regardless of opinion though, there are agreements here that even we must abide by.
