"But, if it's outside of time, does time keep going?" Because that thought is making her brain hurt. Are they stuck here, unaging, until they are not?
Donna does look skeptical. It hadn't locked Rose in. It hadn't locked the Doctor in. In fact, it hadn't locked Jack in either. It hadn't locked anyone but her, so what does that say? "Right. Protect the boring human. That makes no sense."

"No."
A wolf growl. "No."
Pure instinct, but she knew she was right. "That means you, are one the most important human beings in all of time, space, and the universe. So important, in fact, that you are trusted with the most dangerous, the most powerful, and the most vulnerable weapon in all the universe, a living soul and you are both charged with taking care of one another."
Rose took a deep breath trying to calm down. "I know... because I've been there. Surrounded by daleks, no chance to survive, he sent me away, wouldn't let me out of the TARDIS. Took me all the way back home, while he and my other best friend were ready to die. I don't know if I've ever forgiven him. I think so. Since I disobeyed him and found my way back..."
She pointed a finger at Donna. "But listen. Listen all right? No human, no PERSON is Ever boring in that man's eyes or in the universe's. You can't know how important you are, even the Doctor doesn't understand how important he is to all the people he saves. But adventures are made and found, and never boring, yeah?"
OKAY ROSE CALM DOWN NOW.
She bites her bottom lip almost hard enough to bleed, "But I mean it, yeah? I AM really sorry I can't remember. And time doesn't keep flowing, so the more I know... the harder it'll all be. Just... forewarning yeah? But I'm glad to work alongside someone as brilliant as you."

Yet at Rose's words, Donna blinked. She would argue that fact, as she wasn't anyone. She wasn't Rose with her gun, protecting people. She was nobody, from no where. A temp. She couldn't even get her marriage right, although it turned out to be a farce anyway, which made it all the worse. Rose's words weren't going to change that perception, no matter how adamant she was about any of it. She was grateful to be able to travel the universe with him, but she had no rose coloured glasses to make her think beyond what she thought.
"He had nothing to do with it. We- we were all exiting, and the doors just shut. Trust me, he was surprised as I was." If anyone should have been protected, it was the Doctor, Rose, or even Jack. Not Donna who was always missing everything anyway, although less so since meeting him. She wasn't the brilliant one. She wasn't the one who saved people. Arguably there were days when even doing up her laces was done wrong.
"And you don't have anything to apologize for. Not like you or I chose this. When we come from." Although her eyes linger on Rose, knowing some of what is in store for her. For her and the Doctor.

The grin dropped as she thought over the next part. "Then maybe she knew something we didn't. The TARDIS, she's alive. And she has all of the space time vortex in her heart. It's part of why the Doctor can't always find his way around just right. That and they're telepathically linked, and sometimes he's not as clever as he thinks."

Donna did give a snort though. "Maybe that I was going to fall on my face and make a spectacle of myself."
But Donna did linger. Rose did know more, but why wouldn't she? Donna had found about about the Doctor's regeneration not that long ago. She had given him a hard time when they had first met about his previous companion, but Donna had come to learn that it had been beyond his control, and she saw how much it had hurt him.

But at the second part: "Oi!" That growl is back again, and Rose folds her arms. "What kind of talk is that? Besides if the TARDIS could protect us from embarrassing ourselves she'd never let any of us out. Much less the Doctor the way he dress half of the time."

There is a quirk of her eyebrow. Donna understands more, each time her and Rose meet, just why the Doctor likes her. "I know. What's with the flipping suit of his? And always the same thing. He's got a ship that bigger on the inside and still only, what, has a closet of the same suit?"

She is absolutely looking forward to the day she gets to travel with Donna.
