"Because they're part of gang known as Team Rocket!" Ash has both his fists in the air in front of him. Which slowly drop and rest in place.

"Yeah. Especially, when I'm hungry." There's a pause with the last question, "I guess?"

There's a pause as Ash looks up and ponders, "If I'm able to have all those here. Why isn't it possible for you to have that here?"

"That's a stupid name."

Sorry, he's just blunt. Because, well, reasons. But the Doctor shrugs at the last question.

"Your guess is as good as mine. Probably because some pudding-brain is in charge of everything."

Ash crosses his arms and huffs to one angle, "That doesn't change they fact they're bunch of meanies and always trying to take Pikachu from me."

A pause and turns to face the Doctor but his voice stays affirmative and determined, "We should go talk them! Tell them it's not right to take away someone's natural abilities!"

After all, it's just Pikachu without his lighting.

The Doctor chuckles, a bit darkly.

"Don't worry, when I find them - and I will find them - I'm going to do much more than 'talk.'"

Oh, he is certainly the oncoming storm. And it will be unleashed.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Ash kind of sort of doesn't like that sound of that dark chuckle.

The Doctor smiles down at him. "You seem like a good kid, so nothing you need to worry about."

Ash looks up at The Doctor with a feisty face, "Look. Just because you what you are you. Doesn't mean you should go resolving things like that. I understand how you may feel without being able to sense time but taking it on whatever did this isn't the way either."

His face clouds with confusion. But more from trying to access a memory. Probably a 'Clara-hole'.

"Usually I travel with someone who reminds me of those things... but I haven't had someone to travel with in a very, very long time."

So, he is acknowledging what Ash says, doesn't mean he won't seek freedom.

Ash stares back concerned, "Why not?"

Doesn't mean Ash won't try to stop you either Doctor. He is stubborn and either foolishly stupid or foolish brave boy.

Ketchum looks down at the ground as he had expected to hear a Pikachu to also comment right after Ash.

"The story is too long to tell. You'd die of old age before I even finished the first part of it."

His tone suggests that's not a put off, the story really is that long.

Ash only wide-eyed at that remark. That is a long story. Then rubs his hand behind the back of his head.

"Maybe seeing as we're both lost here and without our partners... Maybe I could come with you?"

He blows a raspberry.

"You don't want to get stuck with an old fool like me. You have this whole new universe to explore."

He would like a companion again, he would. He just feels so lost - and blind - and he doesn't feel like he'd be good for anyone like this.

Ash smiles as he closes his eyes and appears very modest, "Are you kidding? Some of best people I know are old people."

Professor Oak, Professor Bill, Officer Jenny, Nurse Joy and Brock, just saying.

He pulls a face, because that's not something he hears often, especially not from young people.

"Really? Even ancient people?"

Or, you know, people aeons old?

Ash ponders on how old he thinks Professor may be because he doesn't know and given a kid perspective even regular old is - very old.

"I'm not sure how old Professor Oak is... He may have been alive with Prehistoric Pokemon.." As states with a smile and some humor.

Sadly, Ash doesn't know any aeon old Pokemon just yet but nonetheless, they get along.

"Ash. Are all non-humanoids in your universe 'pokemon'? Do you have anything else? Like cats. Dogs. Dinosaurs?"

Because he's still unsure about what universe Ash is from. And well, pokemon are just foreign to him.

"There's Meowth. And..." Ash checks his PokeDex, "Oh and Growithe." Afterwards, a nervous smile, "But I guess those are all Pokemon, "What's a dinosaur?"

In other words, the first one was a cat and the second one mentioned was a dog but still Pokemon.

The Doctor pulls out his sonic specks and puts them on. Then he holds out his hand for Ash's device.

"I can show you, if you'll let me?"

If Ash allows, the Doctor will beam an image of a dinosaur from his specks into the view-screen of Ash's device.

Ash allows it after all, there's no reason not to trust this man. Right?

"WOAH!" Ketchum only stares because he is at a lost for words as he stares at the Tyrannosaurus.

"They're rather scary." Ash gives a nervous smile but at the same time he is completely fascinated! "Are there anymore? And how'd you do that?"

"Rather easily. They're sonic specks."

But mostly, they make him look cool.

"I project the images that are stored in them into your device."

It's really that simple. But as requested, he projects images of more dinosaurs: Triceratops, Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus, well he's just staying with Earth ones. No sense in causing the lads brain to explode.

"Sonic specks?" Ash is confused before overly enthusiastic, "That's so awesome!"

Afterwards, continues to look at the dinosaurs, "These ones don't look scary at all."

He can see whatever Earth Dino he wants XD

"Dinosaurs are animals. Most aren't scary, they just want to go about their day."

It's the pudding-brained humans who screw everything up.

Ketchum gives a head nod, "Yeah. I know. Or at least with Pokemon I do."

Ash continues to look at the pictures of dinosaurs and entirely fascinated by all of them. Upon coming across the picture of the Pterodactyl. And stops. And stares. Like something vaguely clicked. Then stares more. Something about that creature is resonating in Ash's mind before, "That's - ^Aerodactyl..." Ash states quietly and scared looking and has a very wary smile on his face.

"I sort of fell into a deep hole because Team Rocket created a blast in Grandpa Canyon. They were looking for Pokemon fossils. Basically, there were some real live Ancient Pokemon still alive that got woken up from the blast and - yeah they weren't too happy.... about... that."

There's a sweatdrop on his face.

"Anyways - there's a Pokemon that likes sort like the Pterodactyl here."

Pressing some buttons Ash brings up in his Pokedex,

Aerodactyl, the flying/rock Pokemon. A savage Pokémon that died out in ancient times. It was resurrected using DNA taken from amber.

Maybe Twelve is getting the idea, that Pokemon sort of mirror actual Earth creatures?

Well, Ash can speak an Earth language, so he's not overly surprised to find more in common...

"That's Myfanwy. Got caught in the wrong time zone. My friend was taking care of her."

Torchwood. Too bad it's gone. Maybe Jack will show up here.

"My ship got caught in throat of a tyrannosaurus." He makes that image appear. "Brought her to the 19th century by mistake. Luckily, I speak dinosaur."

...Mostly how he meets girls. Unluckily the creature died before he could get her home.

That dinosaur incident sounds like the Back to the Future ride :3

Has a very freaked expression on his face about being trapped in a T- Rex's throat, "Sounds like we both have dangerous adventures... That Aerodactyl that was sleeping down in the cave grabbed me in its claws and flew up into the sky."

Then Ash pauses, "I don't want to think what would have happened if Charmeleon hadn't evolved into Charizard and saved me."

Another pause, "You speak dinosaur? Cool!" Ash smiles, "I speak Pokemon."

Wait a second, "Your ship? So, you're an alien from outer space?" You don't look like an alien, Doctor.
