[ Death is an unpleasant experience. Blindingly painful or even just unbearably cold, it can be a hell of an experience. But, there was peace to be found in it too, particularly if you're the sort of soul tormented nearly every waking moment of your life.

For Lucy, death was frightening, but a release from pain and the horrible train of tragedies that made up the entirety of her life. Waking up in the middle of the street, though? That's...well, that's something alright. Something she's not at all sure she likes. She scrambles to her feet to get her bearings, and only when she's upright does she realize she only has Kouta's jacket for a covering. But, all of her appears to be intact, so that's something to look forward to, at least!

At least, it is until the nausea hits in. She remembers vividly how she died, and the mere thought has her doubling over and trying to grab onto something to stay upright. Her vectors even fly out to help, but unfortunately, the hit a nearby building a touch too hard and puts a big hole in its side. The crumbling of wood and brick is enough to have her momentarily snap out of her sense of sickness, though she's still pale. ]

Not good... [ So much for keeping a low profile. Hopefully nobody saw that. ]

[The person who did see it, is a small blond boy with pointed ears, with a sword and shield on his back.]

Whoa!

[ Well, this is an odd sense of deja vu, to be sure. When was the last time a kid thought something she did or had was cool? Though it leaves her feeling more than a touch awkward. ]

What?

That was---impressive. Um, are you ok?

Maybe I can help you.

[saudadist]

[ She shakes her head slowly as she straightens up. ]

I'm alright. Don't worry about me, kid.

[younghero]

[Even though he's a bit on the small side, he still automatically offers her his hand to steady her.]

You don't look like you feel well. Are you sure?

[saudadist]

Yeah. [ She stares at his hand, and rather than take it, she straightens herself up and shifts her stance some. It's a nice gesture, but she tends to shy away from physical contact. Still, she supposes she should say something out of gratitude. ] Thanks, though.

You're welcome, Miss.

I'm Link. What's your name?

Rose isn't as worried for the tree as for the person.

"Are you all right? Do you need anything?" she frowns, ready to get to her knees and see what she can do to help.

[saudadist]

Lucy winces and tries not to sneeze from the dust flying straight up her nose. It makes an already awkward conversation even worse, since she can tell it's a human lady showing concern and that's...well, her history with them isn't all sunshine and sparkles. Even after all she's gone through, there's that reluctance screaming out "NOPE" at the top of its lungs.

"No...I'm fine."

[bigbadrose]

Rose just frowns even deeper with concern. "Are you sure? There's doctors here, and healers, and people who can help with just about everything."

Probably not helping, not that Rose has any clue yet.

"I'm Rose Tyler, by the way," she offers a handshake, because that will totally help.

Lucy eyes the offered hand, and rather than actually take it, she glances away nervously.

"I'm alright...just not used to wherever this is."

[bigbadrose]

"Nautilus." A wry grin, "It can take some getting used to, yeah. Did anyone give you the guides? It can help."
