"Can't you swim?" Demyx asked, as if that was the most obvious flaw in the plan.

"Besides, I'm not entirely sure you want to bet on my throwing skills." He flushed, it wasn't the way his weapon worked. He was much better with a blunt instrument.

"I think most people use the stick to catch fish, not to go flinging cats into lakes."

"I can't swim and carry a fish." Duh. "You just have to launch me, then hold onto the stick and pull me back when I have one."

"Okay, well if you have a string somewhere I can do that." Demyx decided, although his head kind of hurt thinking about it. It was an unusual situation.

"If you had a hook, you wouldn't need to go flying into the water."

"Wouldn't a hook hurt me?" he asked, confused, as he hunted around for something to use as rope.

"I mean, not going in the water, just holding the pole. You wait for the fish to come to you!" Demyx explained and decided to help him look.

"Why would I do that? sounds boring." He climbed a tree and started pulling at a vine.

"I'm just saying that's how normal fishing works. I don't think anyone's ever thrown a cat in before." The vine had potential, if they could get it loose. He could try and pull at it, as hard as he could, if that would help.

"Dominic does, Nimmel did, Greg does, Donovan does." He helped and the vine came free. "Purrfect! Now I can rain some feline DEATH FROM ABOVE on the fish!" Of course, when he shouted... he also jumped. Down. Right towards Demyx's shoulder.

"Okay, well I guess I'm wr-aaahh!" Demyx let out a very manly shriek as a cat landed on his shoulder suddenly and he cleared his throat.

He meant to do that.

"Okay, I can um, help you. Fish, I mean."

"Puurfect!" He jumped down from his shoulder to land neatly on the ground. He licked a paw then looked up at him expectantly.

What an unusual cat. Demyx tied the vine around the stick tightly and held it out for inspection.

"Good enough?"

Spark inspected it, and nodded. "Knot bad. Okay, around me next!"

[melodiouspacifist]

"Hold still, I guess!"

He wrapped the vine around the belly of Spark and tied another knot like before. "Tell me if it's too tight, I'm not trying to hurt you."

He held still, though it was hard, he was practically vibrating with excitement. He missed fishing. "Tight's fine so long as the vine isn't!" And the vine wasn't fine, it was in fact rather substantial.

Spark's clever turn of phrase was completely lost on Demyx.

"Uhhh....what?"

Have a kitty eyeroll.

It's fine to make it tight, it won't bisect me, even if my jokes are failing to cut to the quick."

"Bisect?" Demyx blinked. "Nevermind."

He wasn't that big on vocabulary. He wasn't much of a reader. He pulled on the stick.

"So what, I just throw you in the water? That's it?"

"LAUNCH ME!" He said with a grin. "Because it is LAUNCH TIME!" Get it?

The cat was full of puns, clearly. Demyx scooped Spark up and did as he asked, launching him into the water, holding on tightly to the improvised fishing pole.

"DEATH FROM ABOVE!" he cried happily as he flew through the air. He splashed happily into the water, diving for fish.
