"I am certain he would love to hear it."

A small hint of a smile. "Actually, she trusted me to do exactly that. I know my duties to her, and she trusts that I will fulfil them. She has never questioned my loyalty." Though he has questioned his own, since arriving.

"Oh yeah? Weird." His own loyalties were surprisingly resolute, regardless of the reason, but that didn't mean that his Superior trusted him, or any of them really.

"Perhaps less so than you might think." He smiled warmly at him. "This is a different world, things are different here, for all of us."

"I don't really know, I can't say how people do things normally." Demyx mused. "I haven't talked to people in...well awhile." He smiled awkwardly. Talking, not threatening, the latter he did as required.

"Different here? I'm not so sure about that." He doubted he belonged there anymore than anywhere else.

"Well, you are speaking to someone now," he said with a smile. "And let me ask you, where you are from, do you know many mages my height who are over 700 years old?"

"I guess I am." He smiled pleasantly in return.

"Your height? Umm..." He scratched his head. "I think the keyblade wielder is taller than you, a little." Maybe? He wasn't exactly sure.

"But no one that old, definitely. I know of two old men, but they're not short like you. Most people I know who use magic are my associates and none of us are nearly that old."

"So then this place is already different than what you are used to," he said with a grin. "So why couldn't it be different in other ways?"

A logical thinker could certainly craft a well-reasoned argument to that, but that just wasn't Demyx. He couldn't think of anything to contradict what Clef suggested, so he blinked and hummed.

"I guess it could be, I'm really not sure. I just got here."

"Then would you like someone to show you around? I have explored much of this world in my attempts to find safe places to practice my magic."

"Yeah, that'd be good." Demyx answered with a nod. "I've never been to this world before so, exploring could be fine as long as we're not going to run into any heartless."

"Heartless?" He asked as he started to walk, leading the way, his staff thumping rhythmically as he walked.
