"I was a fixed point in time? I find that hard to believe since I've traveled in time. Being able to come back must be odd for most people." That wasn't an oddity for him Doctor, he was used to it.

The transformation was amazing and all too real, as proved by the fact he was swept up by the phoenix.

"This is handy!" He laughed as they flew through the air.

Phoenix! Ten would join in laughing with Jack but the lack of lips prevents that and after transforming back - leads the way into Furman's a grabs a seat, with his shoes off to the side on the bar table and orders wine for himself.

"Due to Nautilus not having time - all of us even though we're from the same universe are at different points. Rose is before the battle of Canary Wharf -" There's a pause and eyes Jack coldly, not so much Jack more Torchwood, "I'm shortly after that... Four - the me with the long scarf- he's mid-regeneration. Nine's here but he hasn't met you just yet... Leather Jacket. Eight is here as well. He's the one wearing the velvet. Different times and different universes."

"They're calling that the Battle of Torchwood these days." Jack commented. "Nearly annihilated it. Only a handful of personnel left. Nothing at all like before."

Was the Doctor really interested in what was going on with Torchwood and his team? Probably not.

"Must be interesting to spend time with yourself." Jack looked amused. "It's an experience I'll have to miss out on."

"And you're still with them after - that?" Judging so much judging.

There's a head nod about it being interesting spending time with yourself, "Don't say hello to Four." And gives Jack a look because they both know what Jack's hello is flirting.

"You know I can't tell you things from your own timeline. Let's just say the Earth still needs Torchwood. The main base of the organization is now Torchwood Three, mine. We're five."

Five people fighting against the possible end of the world.

"You know as well as I do, everything is going to change and those people don't yet understand that."

Every serious discussion can be broken with a smile. "Oh come on, I can say hello."

"A yes or no answer isn't going to add more to the list of problems people can't seem to close their mouth about."

Ten remarks with something of a headache and shallows the wine in one gulp, "So you may as well tell me why I shouldn't dislike you for still being involved with Torchwood."

A pause,

"Hello for you is saying quite a lot." There's a slight raise brow and tease in his serious tone.

"I hope you're not insulting me here." He smiled a little. "I guess a yes or no answer won't hurt anything, if we're careful about it. You know as well as I do, some things can't be changed."

Jack paused for a brief moment. "You and I both know the Doctor can't be everywhere, every time. When someone invades, someone has to be there to protect humanity."

He crossed his arms, looking serious a moment. "Do you really think I would abuse that power?"

Jack snickered a little. "But it's just one word, I can hardly help it if it gets a rise out of people."

"Yes, I know." Ten whispers, "Even if some of us believe that is possible." Ahem, Lady Me.

Oh goodness Jack you sound exactly like Harriet Jones on the day Ten woke up from regenerating and you're getting that kind of stare too. Which isn't really a good stare.

There's silence when the question is asked and Ten's critical face slowly melts, "No." He states with a whisper.

Then pats with his left hand on the stool next to him and orders a re-fill on his wine.

"So -questions?" Stating with a large grin.

"It isn't and there's no point in dwelling on it." He smiled and waved his hand dismissively.

With that matter settled, there was nothing more to say, no insult to be had that the doctor had questioned him. Life was far too long to worry about minor slights.

Jack swung himself onto a stool.

"From me? Oh well you know, maybe after we have some drinks we can go somewhere private. What do you think about that?" He flashed a grin. Did he really think he was going to be serious about the matter?

"She's a handful." And raises his eyebrows in distress. Putting it lightly and Ten isn't sure if Eight is trying to weasel out of being involved in the Time War or not and Rose - Rose is breaking herself with Bad Wolf and Ten knows Rose will be in spite of Ten if Ten tries to block Bad Wolf from her. That's a part of her - just like Rose is a part of Ten and Nine and some of them are getting too close and it's bad. Or maybe it's good. Another full gulp. No idea. Let's not forget that Lady Me and Rose can't stand each other and Ten is sometimes caught in the middle of their snarking and sighs deeply.

..... That wasn't what Ten meant about questions.

Then gives Jack a sexy eye wink, sure why not? He's in a bad decision mood.

"Sounds like it, but whatever she believes, she's wrong." Jack said with finality, the same kind of authority he sometimes threw at his team. The Doctor should know that better than him.

He got a beer for himself and took a sip.

"Careful Doctor, I might hold you to that."

He does know better doesn't shut her up though. Doesn't shut anyone up between Me and Bad Wolf concerned about a possible future of The Doctor or future of Me.

Ten leans over and with the tip of his tongue slowly lips Jack's neck.

Well now, nevermind Lady Me, or the drama with Rose, he had the Doctor leaning in and licking his neck. That was far more interesting.

Jack smirked and set his beer down. He reached out to touch Ten's chin and lean in for a kiss. If the other man was going to go for it, far be it for him to disagree.

Ten grabs firmly onto Jack's shoulders and indulges the other man back with kissing, and teasing Jack with his tongue, in other words licking Jack's gums but then retracting. In the meantime, his body swings onto Jack and sits on-top of Jack like a horse.
