"If I was there with you, you wouldn't have had to stand against him alone," she said quietly. "I'm not good for much sometimes. But even if I couldn't summon the Keyblade I could at least be a distraction. And Roxas and I got pretty good with a forked stick."

"My impression is he would have looked after Sora , anyway," she muttered, looking down at her hands. Then she looked up, startled. "You did that?" she asked, shocked. She was torn between horrified, awed, and humbled.

"Unless they decide I need to go back where I belong, inside Sora," she said softly, confessing her fear.

She gave him a weak smile back.

"If you'd been there, Marluxia would have probably had Naminé rewrite your memories, like she did the Riku-Replica," Lea said, frowning as he remembered how everyone- including him- had treated the Replica. "Or maybe something worse. One way or another, you wouldn't have survived long enough to face Marluxia; not as Xion, anyway." He made a mental note to aske about the stick bit later though; that sounded like a good story.

"Probably," he agreed. "But still I dunno... Once Roxas had merged with Sora, DiZ had given Riku orders to destroy me and Naminé. But instead, he let us go. Was never quite sure why, and it seems awkward to ask now."

"And yeah I did," he said. "It was a dumb plan in hindsight; I kidnapped Kairi, hoping to use her as bait to draw Sora out into the open. But Kairi got away from me, and then Siax got a hold of her. I wasn't planning on hurting her; Siax on the other hand..." He trailed off meaningfully. They both knew what Siax had been like; Lea more than most.

"Not this time," he said with conviction. "Not if I have anything to say about it. We're working on a way to get Roxas back safely; I know we could figure a way to have you stay out of Sora safely too. And if Master Yen Side can't do it alone, he could always call in Merlin and the three fairies. They're the ones who helped me out."

She looked down at the thought of being rewritten to be someone else. They would do it, the Organization. She didn't doubt it. She didn't think Axel would let them, but if he was protecting her, then he wouldn't have been focusing on protecting himself. She... she really was useless, wasn't she?

"Who...who is DiZ? And why would he do such a horrible thing?" she asked, softly. The she swallowed. "Riku... Riku only wanted his friend back," she said, quietly. "I don't think he would hurt anyone he didn't need to, not if Sora was okay. And... And maybe somewhere he remembered that Namine helped...and that I had asked him to watch out for you and Roxas? Maybe Namine let him remember some part of that, that you two were as much my friends as someone like me could have."

"What did Sïax do to her?" she asked, looking up, horrified. "Is she alright?"

She hesitated. The idea of strangers wanting to help her out was odd. But... "I'll trust you," she said softly. "And if we can get Roxas out without breaking Sora again... I'll do whatever I can to help. I promise."
