[Jack turns. He's never met this Doctor not officially at any rate. He was very careful never to let himself be seen by any of the younger Time Lords, because his Doctor had had no recognition of Jack when they'd first met. But unofficially Jack had heard plenty of stories when he visited UNIT that he was aware of each of the Doctor's personality quirks. He smiles.]

[Jack tones down the charm, because as of right now he isn't sure how timelines work in this place and he has his future and the Doctor's to consider. The less memorable Jack is the safer the Doctor's timeline will be.]

Ah! But that is a name I'm familiar with. Rather nice to put a face to a name, or name to a face depending on how you prefer.

I'm sure my dear Rose has not left out many details. but perspective does tend to change a brilliant story.

[Jack's hopeful expression should make it clear that no he hasn't seen the Ninth version of the Doctor yet Part of him wants to and yet the other part feels fear sliding up his back. What if his first Doctor recoils from Jack the way the Doctor after him did. Jack is pretty sure he couldn't handle that sort of rejection. For the first time in his long life Jack's "flirt and charm" mask slips completely away leaving him naked and shaken.]
He's here? No...I haven't seen him yet.

[Jack can't help the laugh that escapes him. Of course Rose would tell that story. The charming mask of easy and romance is back then as Jack shoves his shaking hands in his pockets to hit them and mentally kicks himself for revealing so much to a Time Lord he doesn't know.]
Sounds like fun....Rose does indeed love her chips. She tried to teach a geisha in 16th century Japan how to make them once...didn't work out.

Yes, I wouldn't put that past her but you know what I seem to be learning about our dear, Rose?
[he starts sort of heading for the Northern District, where the horrible Box is. But that is where Rose also lives, and she always said how much she missed Jack.]
Somehow, she always ends up getting exactly what she wants. Imagine! Chili with chips!

Indeed she does...though the attempt to introduce me to sushi failed horribly I grew up eating nothing but fish I never want to eat it again.
