"Alya too. And. My father." And for the first time since seeing Nino, his smile fades, face a bit more blank. Because it's his father and that is a always a Pandora's box. "Also Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Papillon. Chat says they lie about where they're from out of costume, but I guess if you happen to see anyone from Paris you know, probably better to keep it on the downlow for their safety."

The smile comes back, Adrien bopping his head in time with the beat. "See, like that. The more familiar you are with something, the easier it is. Once you got a basis, you can usually build up from there and sometimes even do cool things beyond the whole something from nothing."

The news of his girlfriend being here is great.

What's not so great is the other news. He's not too fond of Adrien's dad. Sure he seems to be okay sometimes, but he still wonders whenever the guy's secretly a robot or something and it's frustrating seeing his best bud suffer and not being able to do anything to fix it.

Papillion being here is also pretty bad news, but it's not too bad. "At least Ladybug and Chat Noir can protect us from Papillion," he nods. "Gotcha."

"I've got plenty of time to get better and then it'll be totally rad."

So far other than Papillion and Adrien's dad, this place sounds like paradise. He also wants to stay here forever, but he would want his parents to show up otherwise he would miss them.

Adrien nodded. "Yeah. It was pretty dicey for a while with the whole Endos thing, he made a bunch of Akuma's at once, but we're starting to get everything fixed now," he said, trying to not slump his shoulders too much. If the thing with Endos could never ever happen again, he'd be so happy. Or at least if he could have Ladybug with him.

"It will. And you'll probably have a lot of teachers to help you. I give the Doctor and Rose a week, tops, before they're inviting you to live with them," Adrien said. "Marinette and Alya already do. Plus Connie and Kiri sleeps over there if she's not with me."

"Endos? Is he Papillion's right-hand man or something?" It didn't sound french.

"Doctor who?" he makes a grin. "Heh. Sounds crazy, though I dunno who the last two are. Buddies of yours?"

If they are Adrien's friends, then they are his friends by default.

"Oh no, there are...there are people here who are a lot scarier than Papillon. Papillon is limited to the same limits everyone else is. There's even a girl here who was able to outright refuse an Akumatization. Not easily, but she did. Endos tried to take over Nautilus and he had a lot more power than most of us. Papillon was....well, Chat thinks he was trying to make a deal and got in over his head since even he admits Papillon wasn't acting in his right mind."

And he really, really hated he had to, but it was the truth.

"Just the Doctor, or Ten. He's an alien, though he looks human. Has two hearts. He'll also take other nicknames, Rose likes to call him fluffy," Adrien said. "He used to be my tutor until he went off on father. Technically, I'm forbidden from seeing him, but." Adrien shrugged. "And Rose is kind of like a big sister. The kind where I don't know if she wants me to elope with a rockstar for six months because it'd be good life experience, or not because it also kind of sucks and I shouldn't use her as an example."

"Connie is one of the younger kids around, but she's really sweet and smart and also kind of deals with magical adventures just sort of happening? She's really good with a sword, probably one of the best I've ever dueled, including teachers. Kirika is my bodyguard. Whose. About our age." There's another sheepish, kind of worried look. "Chat Noir recommended her to me. Father doesn't know that part. But she has some military experience, and she's really, really good with weapons." Which are terrible implications.

But they're not as bad as the truth. "She's. Awkward. I look like a social pro in comparison level of awkward. But I think Chat pointed her my way because I'm used to the whole noface thing she does and because he wants her to have normal teenage experiences instead of whatever she has been through."

"I didn't know it was possible to resist getting Akumaized." That's encouraging to hear.

He frowns as he listens. It looks like he dodged a bullet there. He's also not surprised by Adrien's dad acting like a jerk as usual.

"Your old man really outta kick that habit of 'forbidding' anyone he doesn't like. How does he say in business with an attitude like that?"

He does smile again at the description of Rose. Sounds like a cool lady. Connie also sounds like a cool kid.

Kirika he isn't sure how to feel about her. He shrugs. "Maybe her dad was in the military?" It would make sense. "I'm glad Chat's helping her out if she's been through a lot."

"It is here. Everyone has bending, but people lose all their powers. Chat Noir and Ladybug had to bend back up their powers, so did Papillon. Its just easier for someone to bend back what they already have instead of something new though, so for powers, that's the way people go. But Papillon's powers are about dominating will, and will that's backed by power is a lot harder to overrun. It's probably why he hasn't been Akumatizing as much, it's probably harder for him to get targets even with the low population factor."

"Because he can be quite charming when he wants to charm, and he had mom when he was starting out, and she was one of those people you couldn't help, but love a little bit when you met her. But without her to calm him down, if he doesn't think you're worth his time, he's not going to give it," he said and huffed, looking frustrated. "Not helped by the fact that he really hates being here so he's being even more unbearable than usual."

"It could be. That'd mean moving a lot, wouldn't it? It'd explain why she has a hard time socializing," Adrien said. Certainly a good story to go with over anything else. "I like her. She's more concerned with making sure I don't die than strictly following father's orders, and she's kind of adorable when she finds something she likes. I'm really glad she's making more friends here. Chat's pretty happy about it too."

And then he grins. "And that's also something. If you take up the Doctor's probable offer, you're totally going to see Chat hanging around sometimes. He apparently relishes the fact he doesn't have to be beholden to a real life schedule and gets to enjoy superpowers whenever he wants and Rose basically adopted him as a brother." And as far as he's ever noticed, Nino was a Chat fan.

"Good thing. I wonder if Ladybug or Chat get really bored a lot when Papillion or some other bad guy isn't attacking the city or something." Oh if he only knew.

"Point. Sorry he's being such a bummer to ya, bro." No wonder Adrien isn't living with his dad. He wouldn't either.

He makes a bigger grin at that. Adrien would be right about Nino being a Chat fan. He's practically shaking in excitement. "Oh man, that would be really amazing! Totally radical!"

"Probably not. Nautilus is a lot of things, but boring isn't one of them," Adrien said. "Always something new to do or something weird happens."

Sadly, Adrien does still live with his father. Most of the time. He really can't trust him to live alone. "Well, we're making. Some kind of progress. Honestly, I'm ready to recruit Rose into showing me the ropes for the 'ultimate rebel teenager' and just enjoy my wild child celebrity phase without having to deal with paparazzi. Drive him nuts without having to make things difficult for his employees," he said with a long suffering sigh.

Adrien laughed at that. "He also likes to keep an eye on us. We're 'his Parisians' so he feels a bit more responsible for us. It's kind of awesome." Though he would have to watch it with Nino. He's already established the narrative with Marinette and Alya and 'himself,' so he really couldn't stop just because Nino might know him too well.

"I could totally help you with that too." he could already think up ideas on how to drive his dad bonkers. "Maybe you should go all punk. Dye your hair different colors or get piercings." He's half-joking.

That is true. He may not be super smart, but Nino isn't dumb. He can put two and two together.

There is a pause. Well, he already changes his appearance as Chat and he's great with make up, he could just change his hair to the right color when he lengthens it. "I could rock piercings. What would be a good color?" He said, pulling a strand of hair forward. Even a temporary job would probably do loads to get a reaction.

Oh, Adrien knew. He would just have to be more ridiculous, probably. Maybe find a way to up the puns even more? Something to ponder.

That gets him to think for a moment. "Hmm... Green or black would look great on you and I could see you being able to rock blue hair. Heck black with green highlights would work really well too."

That might work for a while though if Nino notices that Chat is punning with him more than he does with others, then he'll start to question it.

"Hmmm. Blue would be fun," Adrien said. And distance from Chat. "I like blue. Maybe I'll start with that and then move to highlights later, depending how things go," he said. "Now the important question. Is that a bro bonding moment, or should I just do that on my own?" He asked. Because it could be fun, but he's not sure if hair styling would be Nino's jam.

"Sorry bro, but I've never worked with hair dyes before, and I don't do much hair dressing."

He doesn't have much hair himself and doesn't do much with it other than wash and comb it. And maybe cut it if he can't get to a hair dresser.

"Someone else could help you out with it if you need the help."

"Might ask Rose. I could probably just do it, I'm really good with the all the make up and model stuff when it comes to bending," he said with a shrug and slowing day as they approach the Med Bay.

Random place to go, but he won't complain since he doesn't know where to go in this place.

He starts to pick at his vest a little since he's starting to feel too warm in it, but he doesn't do anything else since it would be kinda weird to shrug off his vest.

"Go for it, man. I can't wait to see what your pop's reaction is. It'll be hilarious."

It would be great revenge for all the crap he's done to Adrien in the past.

"It will. Though speaking of him..." He sighed and finally pulled away from Nino. "I'll be a few minutes and we can continue with the tour. I just need to deliver this," he holds up the bag of food, "to one of the droids and leave a note. Father broke his legs during that whole Endos thing and he should be out soon, but he's being very picky about food."

Nino frowns again. Oh man now he feels a little bad.

"Oh man, that sucks. For both him getting really hurt and him making you be his food service."

He can get not liking hospital food since that tends to suck, but yeesh.

"To be fair, I volunteered for the food service. If there's one thing Nautilus taught me, it's Nathalie was both my babysitter AND his," Adrien said. Nathalie is an honest to god saint for putting up with them.

He looked towards the medbay. "And he wouldn't have gotten hurt if he had just come with Kirika and I when he sent us to Helix." Which is. Frustrating. Dealing with is father's hypocrisy. Or lies. Probably both.

"But probably best he doesn't see you quite yet." He's pretty sure that will be another fight. "Be right back. Oh! And check your stuff, you should have something that will connect to the Network, you should find that," he added before heading through the door to drop off the food.

He's not surprised. What with Adrien's mom having disappeared and all.

"Helix?" But before Nino could say anything else, he sees Adrien leave.

He shrugs and takes off his vest. There, that's better.

He searches his pockets and sure enough, there's his phone. He turns it on and is really surprised to see a network rather than the normal settings.

"The heck happened to my phone?" He searches through it and sees Marinette's post from over a week ago. He had believed Adrien, but it's good to see proof anyway.

He just continues to look through his phone while he waits for Adrien to come back.

There was a minute of debate in actually going in to see his father. But his father was more mobile now and unlikely to let Adrien just leave right after, he decides to just trust the droids. And a note. Mentioning Nino's arrival and the tour.

He might be petty. He'll deal with it later anyway.

He returns after a few minutes. "Found the Network?"

He looks up when he hears Adrien come back.

"Yep. Does coming here mess with everybody's phones or something?"

At least he assumes that's the case.

"No internet, no cell signal, but connection to a network? Yeah. Or something the person has on them, some of the devices for people without communication technology can get weird. Spark, my talking cat friend, has a crystal ball," Adrien said.

"That's really weird." He imagined you would need internet to connect or use a cellphone at all.

Also crystal balls? What? Then again, he really shouldn't question it.
