Link cheerfully walked ahead.
"So, you're new? What's your name? I'm Link. I'm on the Task Force in the city and part of what we do is help the new people get settled."
no subject
He should smile, he should do something to seem more friendly, because this person is kind and despite his concerns, there was no evidence of danger around him.
"Um, I have to find Noct, he has to be getting close to Zegnautus Keep."
no subject
Link paused, bouncing on his toes slightly, turning to look at him. Normally people noticed right off they weren't home---although, his own reaction had been to take a nap, so, he really wasn't one to talk.
"You're in Nautilus."
no subject
"Where's that?" He asked warily, because it meant he was further than he thought if he didn't know where it was.
"I need to get back to Niflheim."
no subject
Link frowned, and he scratched behind his left ear with a worried expression.
"Nautilus is another world. Are you good at reading? I can send you a guide, it's pretty helpful."
He'd struggled through it himself, but, he'd gotten both the humor and gist of it when he had first arrived.
"Oh! You might not know what your device is yet? Mine's my shield. A few of my friends have mirrors. Clef uses his cloak...Nautilus is kinda weird that way."
no subject
"Yeah, of course." He'd graduated high school after all, and become a member of the Crownsguard, reading was a necessary skill.
"Device?" He asked, a little puzzled because it wasn't making a whole lot of sense to him at the moment.
no subject
"See, I can use it to talk to anyone in the city. Or everyone in the city all at once! You can also write messages on it or send pictures and stuff."
no subject
"...Of course." There was no chance, in that case, that he could help Noctis. "I don't have my phone."
He did, however have his leather cuffed bracelet on his right wrist that he was never without, so that seemed like a good alternative, as a possibility.
