He narrows his eyes at the unfamiliar name. Nautilus. It honestly doesn't ring a bell. And the almost rote way she greets him implies he's far from the first to be brought here.

"Good guess," he shoots her a pleasant enough grin. "And who might you be? The welcoming committee?"

"Not exactly," she said. "Though that job tends to fall on the first person someone meets when they arrive anyway, due to the aforementioned confusion that tends to result from suddenly and inexplicably finding yourself somewhere you've never seen before. My name is Leia Organa. And you are?"

Well-spoken, at least. He can appreciate that. She could be a Time Lady with a bearing like that (and for all he knows at the moment, he thinks bitterly, she could be one).

"East," he says quickly, not thinking too hard about it (ooc: unlike his silly player). "Archibald East, at your service. But," he adds with an oh-so-charming wink, "My friends call me Archie. It is very nice to meet you, Ms. Organa." And he offers his hand.

Not quite a Time Lady, no. And given what she knows of them, she might not appreciate the comparison. But she does accept the handshake cordially.

"Well, Mr. East," she said, "I imagine you probably have quite a few questions. And since -for better or worse- you're likely to be here awhile, I can try to answer them while we head to the nearest Welcome House. Or if you're the type who prefers to figure things out on your own, I can just give you a copy of the primer for new arrivals; it tends to cover most of the basic questions anyway."

It's just a handful of those nasty Time Lords you have to watch out for these days, Leia.

"A Welcome House," he says, delightedly. "Doesn't that sound cozy! Please, I'd love the company," and he eyes her book, adding, "If you can spare it, that is."

Company, as well as the opportunity to make himself appear as harmless and pleasant as possible.
