Rose paused and smiled at the new man. Something about him tickled the back of her brain. What was it? Not the Doctor's past faces, and something about the goatee in particular seemed to want to conjure a picture. What was it? Something about sexy and sunglasses??? The Doctor's future?? It wasn't his past, she was sure of that. After her fumble with 8 at first, she made sure to memorize his past faces so she didn't mess up like that again. She hesitated, still smiling. Should she put the ring on her chain or not? The Doctor's oldest version was so happy about it, and even his past seemed nonchalant, but if it was a future version of the Doctor...

Well, so what if it was?!

"Hello," Rose beamed, clearly testing the waters, and gently, casually-ish waving the hand with an unmistakable blue star diamond TARDIS ring on it, "Welcome to Nautilus, yeah?"

Little Rose Tyler! Though they've never officially met, the Master is understandably chuffed to see her here, of all places. There are so many possibilities, given what she means to the Doctor. It's like discovering a candy store smack in the middle of an otherwise nondescript street. He grins back, easily, and that grin only widens when he realizes she has no idea who he is.

"Hello there!" Meanwhile his sharp eyes pick out the flash of the ring, the general shape of it, and they narrow just the slightest. He'll decipher the significance of it later, but something about it strikes a pang of jealousy somewhere deep in him.

"Is that what this place is called? Fascinating." It's really not, but idiot small talk is a human thing.

"Yeaaaah," Rose shrugged. It wasn't the Doctor. At least it better not be, if he was going to act like he didn't recognize her. "Something about it being spiral shaped," a shrug. Rose didn't care much about that either. "You lookin' to get anywhere? Some of the monsters in districts can be a bit dangerous to get by, and whatever powers you normally have don't work right away here." Gravity, psychic, time-sense, magic, and others included, but she didn't offer that right away, just in case the person was more dangerous than not.

He cocks his head, thinking about powers and them not working right away. Something to mull over.

"Well, I suppose I should go somewhere safe, then, shouldn't I? Where would you suggest?"

All smiles, and Rose offers him her left hand to take. Rose Tyler never got the memo properly not to run off with strange dangerous men. "There's Welcome Houses all over in every district, but you'll be safe enough with me for now! I'm Rose. Rose Tyler." She waggled her other hand's fingers again. "Hello!"

And hopefully he doesn't mind a bunch of British human girl babble, because that's exactly what he's going to get. "There's restaurants, Junes' for clothes and basic department store stuff, bit like Hendrick's where I used to work," she wrinkled her nose in annoyance, "And um I still haven't gotten the Go-Kart track made. The monsters and vampire kid kind'a threw it all off." A small snort and her eyes widened. "OH! I forgot to say the most important part!" a quick facepalm with her right hand. "There's no money here! So everything's free. Junes' and the food and all that! The city's alive, no, really, I dunno if you're 'ware of sentient planets where you're from, but that's a thing! And ummmm," she paused, closing her eyes to try to think it through more, "Oh right! The storms! There's chaos storms--" another nose wrinkle, "Once a month? Not sure. They're a bit--" she laughed, "Chaotic, yeah?"
