Death from above meet shield blocking your atta--… oh right… magic didn’t work here so well.

With his hand raised to form a protective shield he had fully intended to block his attack’s means of approach however what actually happened was that the cat swept easily past his non-existence shield and found itself a gentle landing on Zagato’s shoulder.

….

Ok… now what. Zagato looked to the cat, puzzled by it’s sudden appearance when there was that perfectly delightful tree not two paces away from him. It could have stayed there.

“What is your intention?”

HE sat primly on the pauldron, looking at him from that odd angle. "Now that you woke me up? To be fed."

He's a CAT. What did Zagato expect?

They don't really have cats in Cephiro so... He wasn't expecting it to talk. Granted his pet certainly could but Inouva could take on human form as well. So it wasn't the same thing at all really.

"I have nothing you would be able to eat and no way to create anything."

So shoo. I have some serious brooding to do here.

Oh, Spark understands brooding. He was Dominic Deegan's cat before he wound up here... with Adrien Agreste. It was like all the Agrestes did was brood. They could medal in it, in the Olympics.

"Then we'll go fishing."

Good to know he wasn't the only one who couldn't Bend, at least.

Fishing in the middle of a stone city? Even if the suggestion wasn't a strange one he didn't have the time to play games with the little animal.

"You may do as you wish."

He had other plans... He just wasn't sure what those plans were yet exactly, hence the brooding.

"Fine. I wish to go fishing WITH YOU, and since you said I may, let's go. Lake is thataway. Or if you don't lake that option, we can sea about the ocean."

The creature didn't seem to be understanding and if he had his magical powers right now he would be considering blasting the little thing off his shoulder. Since he didn't however he had to resort to the more physical reaching up and plucking it off. Zagato lowered the animal to the ground.

"I do not want to go fishing with you. Go by yourself."

"Of course you are unclear, other wise I'd be able to see right through you."

Down he went, and up the back of his cloak he climbed to reclaim his spot. "I'm a cat. How am I supposed to fish alone?"

If he knew what a cat was Zagato might have mentioned their natural talent for fishing... no human needed but as he didn't he instead turned to walk in the exact opposite direction the small creature had pointed out. Not through any sense of cruelty really he just walked toward where there were more buildings. More building = more information and unfortunately for his new, erm, friend fewer fish.

"If you want it badly enough you will find a way."

"You mean like getting you to walk to the fishmarket?" he asked, smirking a bit.

Sorry, Zagato. Spark knew how to find fish EVERYWHERE in this place.

Closing his eyes for a moment as he walked through the strange busy streets Zagato almost sighed.

"You are very persistent."

Not necessarily a bad quality.

"Generally. Turn left here." The fish market was to the right, of course.

Maybe it was a bad quality after all... Pausing at the intersection Zagato looked both ways before deciding he didn't know which one was the best and grudgingly setting off in the direction prescribed by his new fur piece. He went left.

Was he wrong about this? The little creature didn't appear easily satisfied.

At this Zagato smirked but as he was already walking in this direction he saw little reason to turn back. He wanted to cover new territory not backtrack.

"Then maybe you should turn back."

"Nah, we go far enough this way we'll get to All Blue eventually, and the ocean is right next door." Not... that he wanted to deal with Sanji just then... Or Adelea. Or anyone who might be looking for him....

Zagato closed his eyes again but this time if one looked closely enough there was the faintest hint of a smile. This was all so ridiculous it was almost funny

"It seems every road leads to your fish."

This cat creature certainly knew where all the good fishing spots were but um...

"If All Blue isn't the ocean what is it?"

Can I enable you into his canon? :: grins::

He grinned a bit. "Fish restaurant." He liked the All Blue, generally.

Seriously, Zagato needs to adopt this cat! :)

Naturally, it had to do with fish. Silently, but still with that faint smile, Zagato asked himself why he had even bothered with the question in the first place. "At least you follow the dictates of your heart."

Awwwwwww. HE'd have to share him with Adrien, though. Good luck with that.

Zagato favored his 'guest' with a look, you know the one, that annoyed and yet amused 'I can't believe you just said that' kind of look. Fish puns.... just no.

Probably not, but it could be hilarious. :D

"I mean I know these jokes need a tuna-up, but usually that expression is one Dominic gives to Greg, not me. Then again, Greg's usually fishing for a reaction when he casts a line like that....."
