Blinking quickly Ferio looked between the girl, the direction from which he had appeared, and then tried to find whoever this Jimmy was but that last part remained something of a mystery to him.

“Does Jimmy have long red tentacles and a desire to eat people…?”

Still looking affronted, the young girl moved her hands to her hips. “Jimmy....Jimmy’s just misunderstood!” The tentacle thing was a negative but he might have had some inclination towards wanting to eat people, or maim them a little bit. Oopsie.

“So is that what you’re supposed to be? Some kind of monster slayer?” She paused for a moment. “Then I’m glad whatever-it-was escaped.”

We need Clef to tell us all to swim like beavers!

"Your glad a monster escaped?? You gotta be kidding! If there are any monsters roaming around they could really hurt some one."

Or flat out kill them. That tended to hurt a great deal.

"If you see any around you need to call a monster hunter like me to take care of them."

Only he isn't reallya monster hunter. That just sounded like a good cover.

"... That's only because people fear them, and get in the way..." Sounding unsure of herself for once. Sure, there were some other monsters out there that might be too aggressive but their negative influence threatened her pet's existence.

"I.. I won't!"

She was just relieved that Jimmy wasn't here at this point. "Did you ever think there might be another way of dealing with them than violence?"

"No."

Cause really, monster... sword... they went together pretty nicely.

"There isn't a monster out there that is safe to be around. Not while Cephiro is crumbling around us."

Maybe once things returned to normal and there was peace again there would be other options. Not all creatures were naturally evil.

That simple response really irritated her but she was content to greet it with a pointed pout.

"Shows what you know. Jimmy is different! Jimmy isn't like the others". Just you wait Sera. It'll get worse.

Well... it was possible Jimmy was different. Maybe he didn't want to dine on the flesh of the living like so many of his bigger brothers did.
