Spark jumped back, scrambling, puffed up and FREAKED OUT. He raced up a tree wishing he had his crystal ball so he could call for help. He really really could use Chat Noir about then. He'd settle for Ladybug or even Renard!

Climbing that tree isn't going to help very much! As a wanderer who often spent time in the woods, mostly because he got lost in them, Ferio knew his way around a tree.

Leaping up into the air the agile swordman chased after the fleeing demon monster by hopping from branch to branch. His sword cut through the air after the beast when ever he got close enough to attempt a strike.

Okay, he could keep his dignity, or his life. And only one of those got him fish.

"HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yes, the "monster" that was a cat fleeing through the trees instead of attacking... had just screamed for help.

If the cat's scream hadn't sounded so much like that of a terrified little girl then the next swing of his sword may way have taken the 'monster's' head off, but since it did Ferio stumbled and... being in a tree gravity took over. Tumbling head over tail feathers he crashed from one branch to another until he landed in a heap on the ground."

"Ow..."

"OW? OW?! WELL GOOD! YOU DESERVE AN OWE FOR CHASING A POOR PATHETIC CAT AROUND WITH A SWORD!" He shouted down from the safety of the tree. Even if they could somehow connect him to Renard, Renard never did anything to this guy!

"Cat?"

Ferio grunted as he pushed a fallen branch off his leg. It hadn't done him any serious damage to drop from the tree like that but boy his pride was smarting!

"What's a cat? I was chasing a transforming monster! Eh... and it can talk?!"

"I'm a cat! Not a monster! Just a miniature god who is both angry with you and hungry!"

Hey, humans on Earth used to worship cats. Worth a try, right?

Hm, true but not being from Earth Ferio didn't know about Egypt and all that.

"A God, right. Why would a God be hanging around in the Forest of Silence anyway?"

"Don't know. Also don't know where the forest of silence is. You're in Spider Wood." There was a reason he was up in the trees, not on the ground....

Spiders can climb trees!

"The Forest of Silence is on Cephiro...wait, spider wood? Why is it called Spider Wood?"

... Seriously, kid? "Because of the butterflies" Deadpan delivery.

Quickly regaining his footing Ferio scanned the area hoping none of these spiders were around.

"Ok so... how does one get out of the spider wood?"

As it turned out Ferio was not the best woodsman since apparently he had wandered out of one forest and into the next.

nope.

"Behind you, just keep walking." Spark was depressed, not suicidal, so thankfully they weren't that far in.

"Fine."

Behind him was easy enough... He wasn't really interested in killing a talking monster anyway.

"You just going to stay up there?"

A shrug. "Might as well...." Probably for the best, anyway.

"What're you going to to if any of those monsters show up?"

Concern for a little cat he had just tried to lay might have seemed odd but... maybe it wasn't one of the bad kind.

"Don't expect me to come running and save you."

Though he probably would. Ferio just liked putting on a difficult facade.

Another small shrug. "Probably climb higher."

Sorry, Ferio. Usually Spark is a lot more,.... not this. Usually he'd be on about how he'd DEATH FROM ABOVE the spider in the face and shred it, and then go out for fish, all kitty confidence. But you just attacked him with a sword. You deserve to worry. And he's depressed after being human for a week.... And why do you get to be human when he's a cat anyway? How is that fair?

Yeah, someone is sulking.

"You were pretty good at that."

Climbing higher that is. To think if that cat monster had been a little slower Ferio might have killed it. Not altogether sure what to make of the situation Ferio looked back to the small animal while he mused what to do next.

"Alright then, see ya around."

Not knowing the cat very well he didn't know this was out of character behavior for him and he did seem like he could take care of himself... sorta... at least Spark was fast on his feet!

Yeah ok, once he was out of sight Ferio would probably hang around for a while just to make sure the little guy was actually alright. He could hang out in a tree for while too.

A shrug from Spark as he settled back down on his branch. And if Ferio is staying that long... he'd probably see some of the giant spiders....
