Geez... did every world have a missing Princess? Ferio had been on a quest to rescue his world's missing Princess and now he was in the middle of another one?

"Uh, remind me, what happened to the Princess?"

she...may try to kiss him....

"Oh! Right! No one would know what happened to her..." And she was about to explain, then realized that there were... aspects to it... that Zeetha might not approve of becoming known. "There were pirates who pulled her off course," True and left out the part where Zeetha had been too sick to fight, "and killed everyone on her dirigible except her. Of course she then killed all of them, and scuttled their ship... but then she didn't know how to get back.... She's been searching for a way home ever since!"

!!! What have his lies gotten him into this time!?

"Couldn't some one just...grab a new ship and go pick her up?"

There had to be more to it than that, maybe there was a magical barrier between the Princes and everyone else... or an evil kidnapper keeping people away. But on the surface this sounded like it had a very easy solution.

ROFL. Is it okay if she does kiss him if it comes up?

She blinked several times, then laughed. "You don't realize how your land looks to those of us outside? Most people have never even heard of Skiffander. Zeetha has been searching for years, and apparently I was the first person who knew even the legends."

She rubbed her head a bit. "Are all Kolee-dok-Zumil relationships so... painful at the start?" Which, she thought told him a lot....

Sure! It could be fun. :)

"I guess it is a little difficult to get to... if you don't know where to look. Are there many people out there searching for it?"

It was getting more difficult to fake being from... who-what'sit-land. Ferio understood none of these terms and didn't know the proper way to react to any of it but hey, when you're in a hole dig deeper.

If only he knew what a Kolee-dok-Zumil relationship was.

"Nah, its like any other kind of relationship. Sometimes to get along, some times you fight, and then sometimes some one leaves with all the silverware."

And now she was giving him an odd look. That... answer made no sense. She was starting to have a bad feeling about this, but to be sure... "Well, I was just never sure when to riposte the wrench and when I should just cog the sockets... But surely you would know, right?" Most innocent smile.

OK! But it seems she is suspicious of him already :P

Uh oh... Being a sorta con-man Ferio was familiar with that look. It was usually the kind of look a villager leveled on you just before than ran you out of town. He knew he had messed up some how so... he smiled warmly just as if nothing was wrong at all.

"Well uh... do you really want to talk about cogging sockets out here in the woods? Why don't we walk into town? We can talk more over a hot drink."

Yep, when I asked, she was less so. >.<

The jig was up! Still smiling but this time with a some what more impish crook at the corner of his mouth Ferio brought a hand up to rest behind his head.

"So, what gave me away?"

The fact that he knew nothing of what the lady had been talking about? Probably but he was curious what she would say.

"Aside from the fact that you had no idea what I was talking about and didn't call me out on the use of nonsense terms?" she asked, though she seemed more amused than annoyed... for the moment. Really, after Tarvek's family, it was almost a relief to have someone lying to her that was so inept at it.
