"Seeing as there's much to discuss, I'm assuming more than one version of my dear husband and he's being an idiot as usual."

In fact, at the mentioning of the Angels, her features became a little less thrilled considering her history with the creatures. Then there was Rose Tyler. Immediately she could tell Me didn't like the woman and River had never met her. However, she knew the stories. There were certain perks of the TARDIS liking her.
"Which four and why are you protecting a Dalek?" She would be asking about the Torchwood people soon enough, though surprisingly, she might actually prefer Unit over them. Maybe.

"As to why I am protecting a Dalek, it is because I offered and the offer was accepted, and genocide can be generally irritating. Further, as this place likes to play games with people, and with our minds, it was for the best to keep the dalek separate from the Doctor. Since three out of four of the Doctors here hate Me, with me seemed the best option."

However, three of the four Doctors she mentioned, River could place and she knew she had drawings of them in her diary. However, the first Me mentioned was one River hadn't met yet... which was a small bit of a surprise to her.
"In other words, two of them are much younger versions of him from before the Time War and then there is one of him from right after." Which explained the giant moon sized chip on his shoulder. "I don't think I ever met the one right after that."
At least, not yet.
"Then perhaps I should stay away from your Dalek as well. A woman with my reputation tends to scare even them." River was dangerous, especially to The Doctor's enemies.
"It also doesn't surprise me that three of him may hate you."

She didn't outwardly react to that last comment, but still. the Doctor was all the friend left she had in the universe, and the only version to know and not hate her... couldn't remember her from meeting to meeting.

"And exactly what are the roles that your pet need to follow?" In a way, she really was curious. As for River's last comment, it wasn't meant to hurt. It was a statement of fact just knowing how the younger versions of her husband were. Hell, there were versions of him even she didn't get along with that well despite loving him.

"Rusty is no pet. But they are the same rules as I had the last time I harbored those the Doctor hated, fought, and left behind to die. Do no harm of any sort to each other. No theft, no violence. Because the response is the same to any crime. No forgiveness." She drew a finger down her own throat and as she did, black swirls appeared. "Any crime, any at all, is met with the same fate. You agree to follow the rules, and then trespass, you face the raven."

So Lady Me was still playing by those rules. Personally, River didn't see anything wrong with them when it came to what was left in The Doctor's wake. Of course, River was never one to live by anyone's rules but her own.
Even so, she doubted even she would survive and encounter with Lady Me's raven.
"I see. In other word, leave the Dalek alone and play nice. Somehow, I have a feeling once he hears my name, he might experience a bit of fear anyway."
no subject
"Fear won't kill either of you," she said, blandly. Then she stood. "I believe we discussed wine, however." She headed over for the long counter.

There were still quite a few questions that needed answers and she would get back to asking more about The Doctor... once she had a better point of reference to what was really going on.

"Oh, there is a lot to tell. There are some guides, but they're impersonal, dry, and hard to believe. I'm much more into showing, the telling. So tell me, River. All you've seen, do you believe in magic?" A grin.
"The real stuff, not light of hand hocus pocus, that is," she clarified as she poured the wine for each of them.
